I'm not a Big AJ fan but does anybody think he could possibly beat Wilder if they fought before the year was up?
Wilder gets knocked out clean by Dillian Whyte in my view. I could name you twenty guys who beat his ass up.
Joshua shares a trait of a lot of British boxers in the fact he'll be KO'd into embarrassment sooner rather than later.
He might be able to, he's looked great so far, but let's be serious he still has a lot to prove. It's all well and easy to walk through weak opposition like Wilder did and look good, it's very different when you make that step up and Wilder is a step up. If I had to pick a winner though I'd risk embarrassment and pick the less proven AJ. He has the size to match Wilder, the power to match him as well, along with better fundamentals and jab. AJ also doesn't make as many mistakes as Wilder.
The British glass jaw syndrome is a sad fact of their genetic make up. Must be due to the bad diet over in Britain. Seems to affect their Heavies more too. Price and Fraudley being two recent examples. Joshua more than likely has these traits too. And this is just in the HW division. You have guys like Khan and Groves who are china chinned as well.
After watching the fight I have to agree. The fight proved two things. Wilders chin isn't total glass but it isn't great. His power is not as good as what the fanbois make out. Right now anyone who can hit hard straight i.e. Wlad would destroy Wilder pretty quickly.
AJ KOs him easily he's technically way too good. His fundamentals are so solid. He's more powerful and a better finisher.
I think that AJ should KO Wilder. With every passing fight Wilder looks worse. It is unbelievable how stiff this guy is.
Whyte is poor, his defensive skills are not much better than Briseale's. Joshua beats Wilder by KO. Whyte vs Wilder? Not sure. His only chance is early KO. If the fight lasts 12 rounds, Wilder wins comfortably
