If they fought in any other city would cotto get the decision? I don't believe that Clottey would have lost if the fight was in other city. Cotto fought bravely but he lost that fight. If they had the best judges in NY like they had in Vegas would cotto won that fight? There should 100% be a rematch.

If they fought in Ghana in front of 100,000 Ghanians, the decision I felt would have gone to Clottey, not because it's Ghana, but because Clottey WON that fight.

Yes, especially when a fighter gives away the last two rounds like Clottey did.

Well I'm sure in Bayamon Cotto still gets the nod. Seriously I don't think the location had anything to do with it. It was a difficult fight to score.

he should have, yes. if it was completely unbiased and honest judging based on the criteria, he should have won the fight by a point (or two at the most).

Clottey would have won clearly anywhere else in the US and maybe even Europe.

I actually though Clottey just eeked out round 11.

He did give away round 12, though.

Exactly. If Clottey had kept up the pressure in the championship rounds. He has ONLY himself to blame for letting off the gas in those rounds.

    Yes. No doubt.

Serious question -- Was Puerto Rico sponsoring the fight? They did the last two fights for Cotto. Once just as Puerto Rico, once for Puerto Rico rum.

I think Cotto won via a slim margin. Clottey was lazy from rounds 10 to 12.

BS, this is the Mosley discussion all over again.

Is that how Clottey landed like 50 more punches, by giving away the last two rounds? Get out of here. He was chasing down Running Man, just as Mosley did before him.

Mosley knows he'll never fight Cotto in NYC again. Clottey should decide the same thing. It's bullsh*t.

I for one cant really argue strongly about who won. I didnt score the fight, but Like max said I felt that Clottey won, but I knew he wouldnt get the dec. I think tommorrow I will score the fight and see what I come up with.
