If these fighters would to retire today, where would you rank them on the ATG list?

    Oscar De La Hoya
    Floyd Mayweather
    Manny Pacquiao
    Bernard Hopkins
    Joe Calzaghe

It would probably take a lot of time to think about where they should be ranked respectively, but what do ya'll think?

I won't make a long list with everyone but I'd place these fighter's IMO...
In terms of their ATG status # I don't know, but (1-5)

    1. Oscar De La Hoya
    2. Floyd Mayweather
    3. Bernard Hopkins
    4. Joe Calzaghe
    5. Manny Pacquiao

    Mayweather

    Hopkins
    Calzaghe
    Pacquiao

Calzaghe can really push himself up with wins over Pavlik and Dawson

Prob based on Calzaghe being an undefeated World Champion since '97.
That & Manny has a couple of ?'s wins over JMM that could have swung either way.
(Cal staying at SM & not fighting over seas for so long prob hurts him moving up any further tho)

Just looking at those fighters era. Only Pac has fought the best and at the same time Tops them all.

Oscar can't win the Big ones

PBF avoids the next best opponents.

Bhop was there but Didn't beat RJJ, Taylor and Calzaghe.

Calzaghe's undefeated but wasted a lot of years fighting no names. Just look at SRL-Hearns era, they fought each others when the were in their 20s. Beating 43 year old Bhop won't do it. He was a Champ for years and could have fought Bhop, RJJ and Tarver when these guys are on the top of P4P ratings.

Pac takes the best Flyweight at 19. Takes the best 122 titlest at 21-22 in 2 weeks notice, takes P4P top 5 MAB at 24. Takes EM at 26-28 yrs old. Now taking another wt class at age 29 and want to follow up another with Hatton at 140. Pac fought some easy opponents but not more than 2 consecutive fights. He did it only in in-between Big fights. And he is the busiest among those Great fighters.

Pac tops them all in ATGreatness. Because he fought Great fights against Great rivals and then beat them all.

    Pac
    DLH
    PBF
    Bhop
    Calzaghe

    No doubt bro...
If I had to choose which fighter to watch I'd pick Pac-man!
Just it's still too early to retire Manny, while the others on the list are ready to go.

Pavlik will beat Calzaghe. Here's the difference. Pavlik was ready to take all comers in his mid 20s. What was Calzaghe's doing in his Mid 20s??? Who did he beat by then??? Where is he in the P4P ratings in his 20s???

Look at Ali, SRL, Duran, Hearns, SRR and Pac?? They all fought the best of the best in their 20s.

    PBF
    DLH
    B-HOP = PAC (tied)
    JOE C

I'm sorry, but Joe C's resume does not make pretty reading next to Pac's (2 wins over Barrera, 2 wins over Morales, 1 wins and a draw over Marquez...and the rest, as opposed to Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins).

    fair enough.

    imo,

    1. dela hoya
    2. mayweather
    3. hopkins
    4. pacquiao
    5. calzaghe

though pac have a very good case to be above hopkins just because of 3 HOFers in his resume in MAB-EM-JMM. mayweather tops it if he beats delahoya again then cotto.

i think the TS is asking where do we rank them specifically with other greats. is clazaghe top 100 ATG now? with that, i don't have enough knowledge of the older fighters to rank them specifically.
