If this HBO PPV of GGG vs Jacobs flops, don't talk money anymore. EVER!!

I am a GGG fan and no way am I going to buy this fight! It should not be PPV!

 

I hope it does well. It will be both of theirs' best opponents.

 

Ridiculous PPV. Haven't HBO grasped that boxing is no longer a PPV sport , especially in America. 97k is barely enough to cover the promotional efforts and this will be promoted to the high heavens. It has to be , or else it will flop.

Cotto Kirkland is another joke of a PPV. Two inactive guys coming off loses fighting at a catchweight of 153 pounds. I bet Kirkland is probably walking around the size of a cruiser weight right now.

 

Not that I care but do you want to provide a credible source for the 97k figure? It's a little annoying that people throw that almost definitely wrong figure around. I'm yet to see anyone back it up properly and yet it often gets repeated as fact.

 

I don't see Jacobs being any more popular than Lemieux. Will do about the same. I'm certainly not buying it. I didn't know it was PPV.

 

You guys don't get it. Boxing doesn't have a cash cow.

Oscar was the cash cow. Fight Oscar and everybody will know who you are and start buying your PPVs.
