We know that boxing is a business and we want to believe that every fight is for legacy but this is strictly for money.
If Canelo and Khan pull in 1 million plus overseas revenue and sells out, GGG will be pushed to the side which is really ****ed up.

He has no one to pull those types of numbers with. This is not a fight in the ring like we think, This is a fight in the board room and Oscar is winning. Think about it:think!!!

GGG and K2 don't have anyone to help push those types of numbers. ODLH played chess for once. This mockery fight will sell big time. Watch and see.

It's gonna sell man. All jokes aside, this is going to be hyped to hell. By GB, HBO, Khan, Box Nation, and every magazine and sports news.

I promise this will be more hyped than GGG vs Wade. It's a shame but it's profitable to a certain section of casual boxing fans.

I can tell you firsthand in the UK this is already MASSIVE news.

This fight will sell by the bucketload.

This is a good thread man. I agree. This fight is strictly cash, not legacy.

De La Hoya started out promoting as a guy who cared about legacy and giving the tough fights. But as the years have gone by he's becoming more and more of a business promoter.

    Yep. Brilliant move by GBP.

Hispanics and Brits will make this a very profitable fight.
    GBP is alive and well.

It really is a win/win for Khan and Canelo, as well as a much needed boost to the weak and failing Middleweight division.

Its a DIRTY game. GBP gotta do what they gotta do to stay in the game.

Overall, GBP still puts on the best matchups :deal

I can't blame GBP for wanting to cash in on their investment. GBP now realizes Canelo is the cash cow so why not milk him?

DLH's promoter lesson was when he put Barrera in there with Pacquiao and it destroyed the Barrera momentum and took years off his prime.

Rule number 1 for a boxing promoter is you don't put your fighter in there with a guy who can savagely punch unless they are the cash cow.

I hate to say it, but from a business point of view Canelo shouldn't fight GGG. He should wait 5 years to see if GGG can build his brand and then take advantage of an older slower fighter.

Is your honor worth sacrificing millions? That's the question.

If GGG got Floyd in the ring and he destroyed him he becomes cash cow.

Barrera was on his way out when he fought Pacquiao.

As far as this fight goes, its a money fight. If Canelo can fight a name like Amir and made a truck load of money, why the F not?

Its not like he's made his name out of fighting has beens or overmatched fighters...

Canelo's resume s**** on almost any other top elite fighter's resume including 3G's.

If anyone deserves a pass its Canelo.
