I know that's the way it works. But fighting GGG at 160 is the honorable thing to do.

Canelo fighting Khan isn't a high integrity move.

Canelo is busy making millions with Khan. He will get to GGG sooner than later, but as far as honor, if you can lose some honor and make 10 million, or keep ALL the honor and make 2 million?? What would you do?

I would take the honor and reach immortality as a fighter who dared to take on the best fighter I could find.

    But that's just me.

I feel bad for GGG because this will just lead to Canelo ducking him but Khan and Canelo are two of the biggest stars right now. with Floyd and Pac almost gone and Wlad amd Cotto recently losing Canelo might be the biggest attraction soon. Add to that that it combines fans from the UK and Mexico amd its a sell

:admin Currently each boxing organization wants their own champion and O$CAR's pandering, holding one Middleweight Belt hostage.

There are too many organizations trying to protect their own interest and Boxing is suffering for it.

It is what it is and IMO the only way this changes is by the major networks and cable industry refusing to play.

As long as everyone is making money... nothing will happen.

don't see how this will do bigger numbers than Cotto-Canelo

Nobody in the States cares about Khan.

    Not as I recall, IsaL.

In fact, MAB was probably as more highly regarded going into the first Pac fight than he'd ever been previously. That's not to say that MAB wasn't in decline, especially with the advantage of hindsight.

But I think he was widely viewed as a top 5 P4P guy back then, and people expected business as usual when he faced Pac, and were looking forward to a 3rd bout with El Terrible - which still would happen, but under drastically different circumstances that what people would have imagined prior to MAB meeting Pacquiao.

I'm not sure that it will either, at least as far as US PPV numbers are concerned. I'd be a little surprised if it did. But on the flip-side, Khan is a loud mouth whose native language is English. That could be something that potentially draws in more viewers outside the norm in the Mexico-Puerto Rico boxing rivalry.

:deal That's what they are banking on at HBO. Cotto vs Canelo had no real hype, no real animosity. With Khan selling himself like the boxing **** that he is it will do well. The 24/7 will be something new for Khan to sell himself to. He better hope he still has fans in the U.K. that still like him.

Khan has bigger cojones than GGG.
Gennady 'I will face Chavez Jr and Froch at 168lbs, but Ward must be 164lbs' Golovkin.

MAB was definitely the favorite going into the fight, and he was a top fighter based on his resume...

But I do recall MAB slowing down a tad bit since his first fight with Morales, and it was very evident when he fought Johnny Tapia, not that Tapia had any good success but you could clearly tell the killer instinct and the ferocity in MAB had dimmed down considerably since his 2000 bout with El Terrible.

I think the U.S. PPV numbers will be OK. It's not going to flop on Cinco de Mayo weekend. The shock that it got made at all gives it a good initial buzz, even if it is a little "freak show"-y.

Globally, it will do very well. Canelo and Khan are huge in their respective domestic countries, and it's an interesting enough angle to sell (even if I don't see this as being particularly dangerous for Canelo).

You know You're such a hypocrital puss. I wonder what your opinion will be if Mayweather did what Canelo is doing.
