I am going with.. Mike Hunter Jr!

Since Hunter didn't bet to pick-up a cruiserweight title since he ran into the second greatest cruiser of all times, and might be too small for heavy, so I would love to see him pick up this super-cruiser belt.

    Thoughts on a few others...

Usyk- I am a big fan, but he needs to take a shot at the heavyweight crown, and will probably get the opportunity to fight for the WBO belt.

Gassiev- I like the man, and would like to see him win it, but Hunter is already having a great heavyweight career, and is ready.

    Breidis- same as above.

Wilder- If he won the thing, I could take solace in the fact that every win he clocks only drives Fury's reputation up more, but there would be a shame in the fact that his fraud train is finally derailed, and he is allowed to get it headed down the line again just like that.

Povetkin- he would only have to lose a pound or two. I would love to see him get a legit title before he retires to cap his career, but he is almost in the past. Hunter is the future.

    Hunter for me! Weigh in.

What a terrible idea, heavyweights gonna be filled with a bunch of obese guys. I guarantee there’s only gonna be a handful of fighters who are in some kind of shape

I could also do without it, but that is not really the topic of the thread. It looks like it is going to happen, so who would you like to see avail yourself of the opportunity?

Is it supposed to be 220 lbs? AJ could make that weight, but don't think he'd want to. Anyone below 250 lbs could make 220 if they wanted to, so basically all the top fighters minus Ruiz and Fury. I can see fighters going down to try and nab a belt and then go back up to HW for the really big fights.

Some wouldn't really have to change weight at all. A lot of those guys have fought plenty of fights at 224lbs or under. But the money is always going to follow the heavyweight title.

New division makes no sense really. Other than to generate the WBC more money.

WBC is only one from pro boxing orgs, not 1 sole governing body or ranking institution.
Definitely WBC will not order Briedis fights for other orgs belts and gave him ranking in other pro boxing orgs.:D

Guys, there are these main pro boxing orgs : IBF, WBC, WBA and WBO.
Each does have their own governing body, council, ranking system and reglament.

Briedis definitely is capable to beat up Bellew and will be more dangerous for Usyk at HW than with CW weight ins limit.
Ofc Bellew is from U.K and therefore automatically for fans looks better boxer than some guy from small country. It is natural.
If they will fight, probably will happen the same as in fight Tabiti vs Dorticos. Replace Tabiti with Bellew and enjoy.
No much sense because IBF can't order Briedis as mandatory cotender for..........WBO or WBC tittle.
WBO now at CW will be Glowacki vs Okolie, then will see .......

It'd be really interesting to see who could actually get down to 224.

Plenty of guys fighting in the 230s and even 240s who could cut to 224.

I like the idea of the extra division, but I think you could set the class a little lower.

215 would probably make more sense imo.

You would have to be incredibly stupid to design another division at 224lbs when people that size can cut 15lbs no problem and of course even more. Therefore almost every HW can make this division with a basic weight cut.
Wlad was 245lbs against Fury. Even he could cut 20lbs and make weight!

WBC does have their own world.
    Looks like this.

Better maybe to keep 200lbs for CW and just add 215 lbs for super cruiser and then >215 lbs HW division.
With clause that if boxers wish, they might compete at HW if they are >200lbs at weight ins.

I can imagine. A.J weight in at 224 lbs and then;).
Povetkin will have 0 problems to make 224 lbs too.
    Hunter.
    Usyk.
Briedis. ( not likely he might prefer this division, looks that to beat large slow dinosaurs for him might be more easy task ).

I just want the division to fail badly. It removes a lot of talent from Cruiser and Heavyweight, deluding the talent pool.
Hope none of the other 3 alphabet orgs will create this mong division like the WBC.
