now its unlikely but i like to dream. say Tito makes an impressive come back knocking out Roy Jones, then he takes on the 168 division and KO's names like Pavlik (who wouldnt be a tough fight for tito imo) and other big names, where would he rank in terms of ATG?

hes only been knocked out once and even then beat the count but the ref stopped the fight cause he was out of it. so its not like he has a bad chin, and we all know his power.

    what do you think?

I just can't go with the pretense that Tito would beat Pavlick. Wright showed how shot Trinidad is. Why do you think Jones reached out for a fight with him? If Tito beats Jones , he should just fade away and leave boxing for the younger , hungrier guys.

even if tito beats jones, and i do not think he will he is not a player at 168
he is to small of a body frame.
154 if he comes back seriously is where he should fight.

tito v jones is just a gimmick high name recognition fight and everybody should recognise that.

Well if Tito were to win, then unbelievably, yes, you could make a case for him in the 168 lbs. division elite.

The division is not that deep. Aside from the usual suspects like Calzaghe, Kessler, Bute looks like a force for the future...just not now because he doesn't offer much in terms of legacy or money.

A scrap with Trinidad would be another fight for Calzaghe to target because it would be a big name, even though Tito is way past his prime, since HBO will base this fight on Tito's supposed rebirth after beating a bigger Jones.

No. Don't see him coming back. Don't think he could be successful at 175 or 160 or 168, maybe at 154 he could do something. Maybe.

I guess what I am saying is that Pavlik knocks him out, Calzaghe embarrasses him, and Hopkins knocks him out again. And I would favor Cory Spinks to out point him.

Tito should stay retired. He was a great champ for his time, but the Wright fight showed it all. Not because he was dominated, it had happened before against Hopkins. But he literally quit that night, not in the Frietas style of quitting but he stopped trying to win the fight. Against Hopkins he never quit.

Wright beat trinidad for 12 rounds of a boxing lesson and if wright wasnt interested in a rematch for a big payday he wouldve knocked him out about 7 rounds in. tito is done. he needed to stay retired. it was embarrassing to see any fighter beat like he was by winky and he should know when he has enough.
