they would of all probably got it on. it was the fashion in the last decade for the best to avoid each other. nowadays it different. the fans have become sick of the mismatches and the promotors have realised this

if you're suggesting who would have won out of these 3 it's sweetpea hands down.

promoters will continue to milk their fighters where it's possible though. that's just the nature of modrern day boxing also considering the money involved.

We got one though. De La Hoya v Trinidad was the 'Fight of the Millennium' at welterweight. And it was AWFUL! Plus Trinidad fought Whitaker anyway, and De La Hoya fought Whitaker and Quartey. So the welters of 10 years ago didn't duck each other at all.

we never got to see a close to prime sweet pea fight tito or ike for me this was not that great of a shame

Bu the fact that we never got to see the epic that would of been tito and quartey will be debated for years

i know we got to see oscar fight all of those guys

with the exception of oscar, you could say that they did duck each other. how come none of them fought in the mid 90's when oscar was not around?

Because, wasn't tito only up and coming... while quartey and sweet pea had already established themselves as huge opponents?

That's like saying Andre Berto ducked Floyd Mayweather or Mayweather ducked Andre Berto...

Yea. See how ridiculous that sounds?

They fought each other, but it could have been so much better.
Oscar vs Trinidad was the only fight when 2 welter champs were peaking and the fight was a real stinker.
Oscar vs Quartey:Great fight but Ike wasn't in his prime anymore,he had an 18 month lay off before he fought Oscar and in his last fight he drew with Jose Luis Lopez,he dominated the early and mid rounds but faded badly in the end and was dropped twice in the later rounds. His fight with Perneel was cancelled when Pee tested positive after a fight against a russian guy and Oscar postponed their fight for several months because of a cut under his eye.Ike had a lot of ring rust when he finally fought Oscar.
Oscar vs Whitaker:Oscar fought Pee after Pee was trailing on the scorecards against Hurtado and miraculously knocked the cuban out in round 11.It was a brutal ko and proved Pee had real power when he had too...however the fight proved also Pee wasn't in his prime anymore, his reflexes in that fight were partially gone and he had a bit of a belly (probably because of undertraining and drug abuse). Pee had 1 last great fight left in him but he showed seriously decline before,De la Hoya-Whitaker 1 year before would be an easy UD for Pee.
Whitaker vs Quartey:cancelled because of Whitaker testing positive after the Pestriaev fight.
Whitaker vs Trinidad: A mismatch,Pee was only a shadow of the boxer he once was,he was continuously cornered which in his prime would have never happened,he showed his huge heart to lose by UD with a broken jaw.
Trinidad vs Quartey:cancelled because i believe Tito had a contractual dispute with Don King.
This was a generation of welterweights titlists with huge potential, but the circumstances and timing of the fights were a dissapointment to me.

whitaker was a welter champ from early 1993 and so was tito. ike won the title in early 94.

there should of been one megafight between these 3
