IF Tito was serious about a comeback, he wouldnt fight jones!!!!!

At least not right away!

i mean whats with these comebacking champions nowadays????

instead of easing their way back, they step right into a big event vs a potentially very dangerous opponent.

why??? must be the money, cant think of any other reason.

if they really wanted to make a comeback, the would do it the right way. the old fashioned way.

first, fight some tomato can.

take leonard for example. for his first opponent, he picked a faded but still dangerous camacho. what was he thinking? camacho was still fast. and he was a southpaw. that is exactly the type of guy you do NOT want to fight in your first fight back!!!!!

and we all know what happened.

or take titos last comeback opponent: winkey wright.....again a fast guy with a good chin and a SOUTHPAW!! this guy would have given hell even if tito was in his prime.

and again, we all know what happened.

now if a leonard had swallowed his ego and had eased his way back with a comeback opponent like say ....tony menefee (a tomato can back then with a good record but no talent from the mid west) he would have saved himself alot of embarressment. he would have realized that he was done and retired.
but instead of doing this at some small venue in a remote area (you know, like robinson did) he went right back into the spotlight against camacho.


now for tito, roy jones is HIS potential camacho: he may not be a soutpaw but he is still pretty fast. and while he is faded, he still can fight!!
if he were totally useless, he would have never beaten the talented anthony hansaw.......a fight i admit i picked jones to lose.

so jones giving tito a painfull lesson and treating him like some tomato can (you know.....like camacho vs leonard) is a very likely scenario imo.

so tito, dont end up like leonard. learn from the mistakes of others. and your own.
