Really I mean how is Lesnar not going to win if it takes place ? Lesnar will take about 3 secounds at most to shoot and we know for a fact Toney cant avoid it and he wouldnt get up.

Exactly. All of Toney's great moves that work for Boxing will get him destroyed in the Octagon. And I like Toney. I don't wanna see him ****ed up like that. Lesnar is to big, to strong, to athletic. And just like you said, that fight would probably be standing for about 3 seconds. I say have Toney fight Pat Barry or Gilbert Yvel. Boxing vs K1. Or maybe even Mirko. But guys like Lesnar, Mir, Velasquez, NOG, and probably even Couture would beat the absolute total **** out of James. I respect that he's trying to test himself though.

If it did happen I think the UFC would suffer badly from it, especially if they hyped the fight up with a Boxing vs. MMA theme.

I know a lot of MMA fans would say,

'Boxing is an effective martial art, so top boxers have great potential, just like top wrestlers or top BJJ guys. All this shows is that boxing can win you fights in MMA - we already knew that.'

But that's not how Joe Public would see it if an apparently 'washed up' boxer smashed the current UFC heavyweight champ and poster boy.

MMA would look like a second rate joke to the average sports fan if Lesnar got KO'd by Toney.

 

I don't think anyone with 5 fights, 3 of which are against UFC champs and 1 against a contender, is unproven.
