if tua wins, what should be his next move?

LMFAO Yeah I know he's not - assuming they go toe to toe,
But from what I've heard Arreola has a decent amature background and can actually box a little. At the time he was in pretty good shape as well. Just saying that at that point Tua would've needed a warm up fight (against like...... Cameron maybe? ) before he'd be ready for tha fight. He was in really bad shape and wouldn't have had the sort of time period he's had against Cameron to get fit.

 

Everybody keeps saying Arreola has good boxing skills but I haven't seen them. He would come right, predictably, as he always does, right at Tua - and would go to sleep. Tua's left hook, unless he's completely changed the way he throws it (for the worse) is more debilitating than anything Vitali threw the other night. Power's the last thing to go. If Walker could put Arreola on the deck with a full-power blast, Tua can put him through the ropes.

 

Arreola can't box.
Arreola makes guys like Sam Peter look like Ray Leonard.

 

Arreola is better than Peter.

At least at this point IMO.

Yeah we keep hearing down here how Camerons gonna box Tuas ears off - haven't seen those skills yet either.
I agree that Arreola would be an easy night at the office for David based on what we've seen. But when this fight was offered Arreola was a bit lighter, still builing his reputation in a lot of ways and was also a bit of an unknown quantity.
Regarding Arreolas' boxing skills, all I've seen is posts on here and other boards, and one quote from a sparring partner so make what you will of that.
Anyway I think Tua makes mince meat of Arreola, but at the time the fight was offered it wasn't in Tua's best interests to take it. After Cameorn? Definately, but will Arreola be ready or will he be fighting a few bums?

Tua has been doing what everyone has said and lost all the fat that Christobal couldn't be bothered losing....that takes time and effort.

Tua would still have ktfo of Arreola back then anyway,but for various personal issues etc it couldn't happen at that time. It must be a very very weak heavyweight division if Tua has to "work his way up to" to someone like Arreola ffs.:rofl:rofl

The only Arreola sparring partner I know of is Travis Kauffman, who outboxed him comfortably. This same Kauffman was outsmarted and KTFO by Tony Grano. Now, I'm a big moral supporter of Tony Grano but he's no Ali. :yep

See the difference here is you think Tua should have taken a risk against a guy who was as I said at the time still an unknown quantity. Simply didn't know what he was capable of then. Maybe we do now.
I agree that it looks like Tua would have had an easy night then - hindsights 20/20 right - and definately looks like he will now.
But I still say they made the right choice at the time. Camerons the easier fight, gives Tua a chance to shake off whatever rust there is, gave him a longer period to ge in shape and drop those pounds, is paying a similar purse, and on top of that we have a much better idea what Arreola brings to the ring now.
