You keep coming back to this idea of Tunney being a "better version of Loughran". Now while he undoubtedly packed a lot more heavy artilery, and was perhaps more durable, I do not think that he was the better techincian. I also do not think that they were verry similar stylisticaly, beyond the fact that they were both technicians. Loughran was clearly a much more out of the box thinker (make up your mind wether that is a good thing or a bad thing). I have speculated that if Loughran had the power and physical presence of Tunney, he would have been a much more dangerous fighter. Finaly, I would say that Tunney was a lot closer to his prime when they fought on the one hand, and would likley have been on the slide when Loughran reached his prime on the other.
