Can anyone argue that he's not no.1 in the division? I'm seeing many matchroom bum lickers put a lot of effort into downplaying Tyson's achievements recently. I'm sensing a big effort on its way to argue that AJ is no.1, even after Tyson beats Wilder. These bum lickers appear very scared that this is going to happen!

If Fury goes to the states and beats Wilder, after going to Germany and beating the no.1 heavyweight, he will undoubtedly resurrect his status as the no.1 heavyweight on the planet, until proven otherwise. Try and deal with that fact now guys, instead of waking up every morning with hate in your heart, downplaying the achievements of the best heavyweight of our generation. AJ ain't left England, and AJ ain't beaten a legitimate champion. His resume will not compare to the Gypsy Kings when Wilder gets on there! I respect AJ and his achievements, but facts are facts.

    Roll on December 1st.

If Tyson beats Wilder I would put him as number 1. If Wilder beats Fury, I would still have AJ as 1 as I feel Fury is washed which is why Fury gets all the credit in the world should he beat Wilder.

on the surface, i agree with this completely, but if Fury performs well, doesn't look as washed as previously thought but gets beat, it could be argued that Wilder has the best win out of all of them

AJ isn't a legitimate champion? How do you work that one out? AJ's resume is still a lot better than Fury's even with Wilder on it. Although is Fury does beat Wilder (which I think he will), he is then only 12 rounds away from becoming the best HW of our generation.

Whilst AJ remains active and keeps winning, Tyson (or Wilder for that matter) would then need to beat AJ for the Ring Mag belt.

I said AJ never beat a legitimate champion. Charles Martin was a joke!

If you believe AJ's resume is better than Fury's with a Wilder win in the states on it you are an idiot mate. Seriously.

If Tyson Fury beats Wilder (which I highly doubt) then no he wouldnt be number 1.

Tyson Fury will then hold 1 of the 4 belts with only 3 notable wins to his record and only 1 win over a current Ring Magazine top 10 HW.

Whilst AJ will have 3 of the 4 belts, 6 notable wins to his record and has beaten 4 of the current top 10 Ring Magazine HWs.

The Wilder, Fury and AJ triangle is fascinating to me. I think if they all fought each other numerous times you would get a different result almost every time.

The only way you’d get a different result is if Fury really is done...in which case Fury gets knocked out in a different round each time, likewise with Wilder vs Aj.

Otherwise Fury UDs them both...AJ stops Wilder

The winner of the fight is without any doubt the king of the division.

I think the current version of AJ beats any version of Fury I think Wlad ko's Fury in the rematch with Fury had it happened. Regardless the winner of the Fury Wilder fight fights AJ and we find out the rest is just noise.

I think Fury would have universally accepted as No1 had he honoured and won his rematch with Wlad and been a big big A side to any fight following until he beats Wilder and AJ he can't really complain if he's not considered the best or the A side.

Wilder is a joke to me 40 fights 40 bums never earnt more than a couple of million dollars for a fight yet try' to pretend his team offered a guaranteed 50 million to AJ , personally I don't see how it's viable to pay AJ that much to start with and if they genuinely think they can pay that much why didn't Wilder and his team simply outbid Hearn for the Klitchko Parker and Martin fights ? If he beats Fury it's because Fury is totally done.

    "Do me a favour!"

So beating Wladimir Klitschko in Germany, - out on his own as no.1 in the division at the time, unbeaten in 10 years, ring magazine no.1, holding all but one of the belts - is a 'notable win', to be put alongside Takam and 39 year old Povetkin? Give over!

And I suppose beating Deontay Wilder - unbeaten in 40 fights, 39 knockouts, WBC champion, one of the heaviest handed fighters in history - in America is on par with beating Joseph Parker in Wembley?

Your statistical argument is rubbish. Quantity over quality, that's how legacies are measured. Otherwise Joe Calzaghe would be a top 10 ATG.

    Premier league table

    City
    Liverpool
    Chelsea.

If Chelsea beat Liverpool last weekend would they have suddenly overnight became better than City?

    Of course ****ing not.

AJ has 3/4 belts. Has more wins against top 15 fighters than Wilder and Fury put together.

Nobody is the king of the division until they beat the king. That’s the fury fan boy line about this imaginary title isn’t it. So why does it change to suit you when you feel like ?

I actually think that all three of them are decidedly average. Vitali aside, the heavyweight division has been grossly overrated for years and the three mentioned - AJ, Fury & Wilder - are relatively pish.
