I actually wouldn't rule out the posibility of Parker beating Wilder. Again you could argue a win over Povetkin is more impressive than a win over Wilder as Povetkin has a more impressive record of the two.

Also using your logic then one fight wonders/ upsets like Hasim Rahman should be looked upon more favourably than someone with a more deeper quality record but whom doesnt possess an impressive win as beating a prime Lewis. It's like stating Rahman was a better boxer than Wlad or Vitalli.

Nah i disagree. I think Fury can box the ears off both but at some point would get chinned. AJ v Wilder is a case of who lands first imo.

Would love to see all 3 face each other twice but boxing fans are fickle and if any of them lose to the other then they will called bums and blah blah blah.

Ridiculous comparison. Fury out boxed Wlad, Rahman was a one punch KO.

Are you actually using football to win a boxing argument? Blimey!!

Because Fury beat the king and hasn't lost since. He's now active and fighting the most dangerous champion in the division away from home because Joshuas team didn't fancy it.

IF Fury wins his best resume includes Wilder, Klitschko, Chisora and Hammer

IF Wilder wins his best resume includes Fury, Ortiz, Stiverne and Washington

AJ’s resume ALREADY includes wins over Whyte, Braezele, Klitschko, Parker and Povetkin

If Fury wins, I’ll put him at No 2 with his two world title wins, but with no successful defences, no unification fights and a PED suspension

However if Wilder wins, I really can’t split him and AJ. He’ll of had 9 world title fights with 8 successful defenses but again no attempt to unify any belts.

AJ will still be THE man to beat

Undefeated Lineal / Linear and WBC champion clearly the number one in the division. Chinny robot's team to duck the winner (and the loser) in favour of Whyteleafe III "This time its personal"

    No!

You can't put Chisora, Hammer, Brezeale and Povetkin(39) in with wins like Klitschko, Wilder and even Parker.

    Elite wins:

    Fury:
    - Klitschko
    - Wilder (If it happens)

    Joshua:
    - Klitschko
    - Parker

Parker barely gets on there because he's not that good at all but we'll put him there for arguments sake.

Fury's win over Klitschko > AJ's win over Klitschko

Fury's win over Wilder > AJ's win over Parker.

You can debate Hammer, Brezeale, Chisora and 39 year old Povetkin til the cows come home and I'll admit, Povetkin is the best of them. But none of those wins for either Fury or AJ will be looked back on with any significance so it's the elite wins that are all important. If Fury beats Wilder, he's clearly ahead in that department, making him numero uno!

    Close the thread.

A resume is more than one fight. Apart from Klit, Chisora was probably Fury's best win. AJ has beat 4 of the current top 10. The fact you called me an idiot, shows what a defensive little ***** you are.

The top 10 is pish mate! Anyone can use statistics in their favour. I'm talking about real, elite level, top wins. There's nothing extraordinary between the Hammer's, Brezeale's, Chisora's and 39 year old Povetkin's of this world.

I'm not disputing that AJ currently has a better resume than Fury. We know he does. This is a hypothetical debate for if or when Fury beats Wilder, which will put Fury ahead of AJ without doubt. The proof is in the panic of the AJ fanboys, putting Fury down at every opportunity before he goes to the States and cements his status as no.1.

How can you put Povetkin in the same bracket as Hammer, Chisora and Breazeale? You can argue that Povetkin's record is better than Wilder.

Because he was 39, clearly past his best and stopped in the 7th round. Parker and Takam made it past the 7th round. Chisora would too.

What I still can’t understand for the life of me is why Fury didn’t go for another’s fight at least before taking on Wilder. I thought his timing was still a little out against Pizzanetta and that would worry me if I was on his team. So what if it didn’t happen this year but next year the other lot would have waited whatever happened he would have got a big fight, so unfortunately I can see Tyson getting sparked badly here and then the myth and his legacy will disappear in my eyes as it then doesn’t make the Klit win such a shock win as AJ did him too.

Must admit though if Fury wins he is without doubt number 1 and he deserves legitimate legacy status cos doing this fight in his condition is mental in my opinion, money or no money reasons involved.

    Whoever wins is No.1

If Wilder wins he's beaten the lineal champ and a top 5 HW in Ortiz

If Fury wins he beats a young, undefeated HW champ in his prime away from home after going to Germany and schooling the lineal champ of 10 years in his backyard

For both that's better than AJ's resume.

Champions defend their titles. Tyson Fury never defended his title once. That alone puts him below Joshua.
