If Tyson fury becomes world champion?

The most interesting part is that Tyson Fury is the prospect with the biggest potential to become champion and even to beat Wlad.

And i say all that while annoyed by Fury's personality.

 

Purely depends on size is nonsense if you watched him fight kevin Johnson you will see he has some decent skills, and he did a better job on Johnson than Vitali did. He often gets reckless and wild since he loves a fight but he can box too.

 

It's not just his personality.

It's his skills.

Aside from having massive size and seemingly good power, the guy just sucks all the way around relative to the way he is discussed.

Beating Chisora again can go a decent little ways in changing that perspective.

 

If fury wins the WBC title he will be a paper champion I am no big fan of wlad a but he is the real champ , but if fury were to beat wlad I would be very surprised

 

Fury would never bring 'glamor' to the HW division. He's way too undisciplined, lazy and unprofessional. He gets fat between fights and generally comes off as lazy and moody when it comes to preparation. You don't ever become a great champion like that.

 

He would bring entertainment though , however long or short it lasted. Something the HW division has been lacking for some time.

 

Is that the sort of thing the HW division need to promote itself though? He acts like a moron pretty much all the time, the only time he isn't an arsehole is when he isn't saying anything.

 

I think it does, he's a colourful character and an entertainer. HW boxing is due a change, he likes to give fans a fight and I find him hilariously funny myself, especially when he's not even trying to be. Either you get him or you don't it seems.

 

His height, his reach and his heart has got him this far. Also he is entertaining but for the wrong reasons. He's a spectacle people watch him to see what crazy thing he is going to say or do next.

His boxing skills are crude and amatuerish. If this is the future of boxing then its the beginning of the end especially for the HW's.

 

He's an interesting character no doubt but he kind of divides fans, many would pay to just see him lose, he'd never be fully embraced, he's no Bruno in terms of likability.

I couldn't see him achieving the kind of popularity that Ali or Tyson achieved. Ali was poetic, charismatic and looked good while Fury is oafish and his trash talking is crude and cringe worthy.

Tyson was an intimidating monster of a champion, dynamic style, his physique alone was impressive and he had an air of invincibility, Fury is often overweight, is nowhere near as gifted physically and has on occasion looked vulnerable unlike Tyson.

 

He would be very popular in the UK, just for being British and a world champ (wich I really can't see happening).
But Tyson/Ali kinda popularity not in a million years!
1) He's not even remotely American.
2) He's not even remotely as talented.
3) There's nobody who thinks he's unbeatable, far from it even.
4) Timegeist. Boxing isn't as popular and he's not some "special case" for the time period.
5) Who actually knows the guy anyway?
6) Longlivity... can anyone seriously see that guy defend the title 5 to 10 times?!
7) Charisma. Not much to be found in that department either.

 

There's nothing wrong with colourful, but he is just a classless idiot.

What was his latest thing? Didn't the father of a young guy beaten to death outside a liverpool nightclub ask Fury to retweet a message about getting justice for his son, and Fury's response was "no, I'm not a grass"?
