Like we don't know what happened to Wlad leftovers during the Wlad era. He would have fought Seferi and Pianeta then Povetkin. That's how Pov managed to be a top ten HW from 08 to 21 while stopping no one who debuted after from getting a title shot before him, managing to beat a total of 2 unbeaten fighters, and getting himself in 2 title fights in his almost 2 decades as a top ten HW. So if Fury lost to Wlad he'd've been in the same boat as everyone else who lost to Wlad and go fight Pov. IMO.
Probably would’ve been better for his career in the long run, iirc it was the Wlad fight that began his downward spiral psychologically.
I wonder more what would have happened if the British boxing board would have just given him a ban at the time he should have and reversed the Hammer (eliminator) fight like they should have for getting busted. That was some shifty nationalistic sh-t there. I think we wouldn't have seen him back at all. Instead they never reversed the doped up win and left everyone in the dark until months after the Klitschko fight and let him "retire" to save face.
Fury used like 50% of his capacity in that Wlad fight He couldn't lose That fight was merely Wlad trying to survive the distance and praiyng that he might magically find a single punch.
