So he's an ATG for beating a bunch of washed up fighters and losing to every single half decent prime fighter he faced bar razor ruddock (who pushed him close both fights and is nowhere near anyone's top 50 atg heavyweights).

The mid 80s was the worst period for heavyweight boxing in its history at that point and tyson had his peak early unlike other fighters (don't worry you can claim he lost his chance to have a longer peak cos he was ****** scumbag) who tend to peak later and not be given the same chances.

Like I said name me 1 fighter who he faced who at the same point peak fury (if there is such a thing) wouldn't beat.

If Mike tyson wasn't American he wouldn't be rated so highly.

Honestly this thread is full of either people who have been hit in the head too many times or people who have the iq of a duck.

I'm not putting fury number 1 but he's placed a consistent top 10 atg heavyweight by almost every retired boxer. For me he sits probably somewhere between 8 and 12 but can jump up if he beats uysk and one of the upcoming heavyweights or aj and retires.

The daftest thing on here is some people bigging up fighters and claiming them to be atg when they've beaten no one but washed up fighters of the previous era and then using the same reasons for why furys resume stacks up.

Truth is we overrate American fighters and aggressive fighters at heavyweight far too much and nostalgia is held in higher regard than a unbeaten record.

Get some decent championship defences under his belt and actually try and become undisputed then I may consider giving him a bit of respect.

All of those names are ahead of Fury. As are Holyfield, Liston, Tyson and a few others.

Fury is nowhere near the top 10. Hell, he’s lucky to be top 20.

I’d probably put him top 30 about now. Lack of activity and decent opposition is the problem really. The Wlad win while a woeful fight was still a good win on paper. The Wilder wins may age better if Wilder ever beats anyone with a pulse.

You can put him wherever you want, I was pointing out some of your past hypocrisies in my first comment.

"Fury isn't even the best of his own era until he beats Usyk so that's wildly inaccurate to claim he's the best of the last two eras."

This is illogical: No.1 Wlad didn't beat No.2 Vitali, No.2 Vitali (who was active for less than 40% of the Klitschko era) didn't beat No.1 Wlad. Wlad was also dethroned by Fury. Was Wlad therefore not the No.1 heavyweight of the 2004-2015 Klitschko era?

    Wlad's record (simplified)

    Puritty (TKO11 LOSS)
    Byrd 1 (UD12)
    McCline (TKO10)
    Sanders (TKO2 LOSS)
    Brewster 1 (TKO5 LOSS)
    D. Williamson (TD5)
    Peter 1 (UD12)
    Brock (TKO7)
    Ibragimov (UD12)
    Thompson 1 (KO11)
    Chagaev (RTD9)
    Chambers (KO12)
    Haye (UD12)
    Povetkin (UD12)
    Pulev (KO5)
    Jennings (UD12)
    Fury (UD12 LOSS)
    Joshua (TKO11 LOSS)

    13-5

    Fury's record (simplified)

    Chisora 1 (UD12)
    Cunningham (KO7)
    Chisora 2 (RTD10)
    Wlad (UD12)
    Wilder 1 (SD12 DRAW)
    Wallin (UD12)
    Wilder 2 (TKO7)
    Wilder 3 (KO11)
    Whyte (TKO6)
    Ngannou (SD10)

    9-0-1

Fury's record is also likely to appreciate as his victims pick up wins, Wlad's will not.

Hard to place him as he's a dosser who had goat potential but in the end blew his talent on beer and chips. Second best of his era which puts him above Joshua and Wilder but under Usyk who will beat him soundly if the fight ever happens. Top 20.

peak holmes beats fury with ease. I can’t rate Fury as elite heavyweight because he never proved he is one. Win over 40 year old Wlad while being on peds doesn’t make him elite , nor does surviving limited wilder.

Fury fought Chisora 3x and still hasn't fought Usyk, Joshua, Zheng, completely missed Parker, Ortiz, Joyce, Ruiz, Povetkin, etc. So no, it's very debatable if he's even the best of his own era when that's EIGHT decent names off the top of my head Fury somehow hasn't fought yet. Paper thin resume.

You are criticizing Wladmir for not fighting Vitali while making a dozen excuses for Fury somehow not fighting prime Joshua or the current #2 guy of his era Usyk. Wladmir also has a far more impressive record than Fury and should logically rank higher on an ATG list and that's not even up for debate.

You're biased and you're not making any sense at all.
