Tyson Fury at Usyk's last weight ,and 6 inches shorter than Fury is , with a corresponding subtraction in reach.Would he have beaten Wlad and Wilder to be champion ?

    That's a considerable reinvention of a fighter.

How does one accurately predict the influence that this kind of shift in physical dimensions would have on a boxer, in terms of his style and tactics?

Fury is fast, focused, has a high ring IQ and lacks predictability, but how would this manifest for Fury in a smaller body? You cannot completely separate the physical aspects of a boxer from the application of his skillset.

Could a much smaller Fury be a heavyweight champ today? Yes.

Would he be one? That's anybody's guess.

When you change a boxers stature you have to consider how much it changes his body of work you would not have the same fighter.

Fury beat Wilder because he, unlike Deontay, can box, with a high ring IQ and a great chin.
I believe Fury at 6'3 220 lbs would still outclass The bronze bomber and become the champion.

He wouldn’t of been able to lean away just enough from those overarm Wilder rights early in the second fight like he did

If Ali was 5'!0", would he have been champion in his day?

It is a nonsensical question. Fury has what he has.

As weird as many of the questions I've asked are, I think I have to hypocritically agree with the forum consensus about this one. I don't think it's answerable.

Henry Cooper and his identical twin brother had wildly different boxing career trajectories just from varying life experiences. A 6'3" Fury would be a different sort of customer from the current version.

I guess you could ask how somebody boxing with Fury's genes would do if you gave him bad enough nutrition to make him 6'3" in the 1890s or something.

The Cooper twins were virtually joined at the hip both were plasterers, both were trained and managed by the same people and fought some common opponents,Henry was just better ,in the same way that Ali was better than his brother Rahman.I don't really see the correlation. re life experience.

If it's not life experience or environment, and it's not genes, then their disparate performances seem inexplicable to me.

I don't think it's a nonsensical question really. It's brought up in a another way, what some of the discussion s have been about lately. Size and how it s seen, especially in the heavyweight s.
