Have you actually watched his fights? Because when you watch him fight, it’s so obvious you’d have to blind to miss it that he’s unquestionably a legit ATG and would be a real issue for anyone.

Can I suggest you watch his fight with Corrales? That was his absolute peak. Watch it and see if you still think he’s a bum.

    Agreed
His fights with hatton and particularly cotto were also entertaining

Floyd is way more fun to watch than Fury other than the usyk and Wilder fight, I can't remember enjoying a Fury fight

His result was fantastic against wlad and I was willing him to win, but I have skipped through the highlights, never mind torturing myself to watch the whole thing again

The only reason his fight with Usyk was entertaining was because usyk didn't leave him alone

I'm not calling Floyd the most exciting ever, but he is way more entertaining than Fury, especially when he was younger and let his hands go more often

His pull counter, jab to the body followed by the rapid right hand were beautiful

yeah I’m laughing at this one. Wilder had big power, heart, athleticism, height, reach, and nothing else. Skill doesn’t enter the conversation.

someone with that limited skill set up against someone of Floyd’s level? It would be a little guy version of Holmes-Shavers (except, actually, I’m not being fair to Shavers, because he was quite a bit more skilled than Wilder). Floyd would win every single round, and if we are bringing the PBF version of him for this fight, he’d win via stoppage by mid fight.

Yeah there's a huge discrepency in skill, like a mountain of difference

Floyd is too talented to get caught by someone so limited and agreed when his hands were healthy, he would smash someone as poor as wilder in 6 rounds

Floyd was a diva and had his faults, but his ability to box is A+++

He's a master boxer and imo better than anyone currently fighting today. That's my opinion
I know the majority think lomachenko and usyk are much better, but I disagree

Usyk gets extra points for P4P. He’s fighting guys who are taller with 25lbs+ on him, and he’s better than all of them.

kind of a funny world we live in where the HW champ is also the current P4P king.

Make a Fury indirect shade on Floyd thread

Turns into a Fury hate Floyd praise thread

Heavyweight is a different game the skill level may not be great but Wilder was legit the most dangerous guy in the division at the time Fury fought him and Fury came to the US to do it. Floyd would never have done anything like that. For his comeback he stacked the deck against the much smaller Marquez.

Wilder is a one trick pony who Fury is way bigger than, Floyd would've absolutely fought Wilder in the same shoes

Yes taller, bigger reach and much, much heavier than

Floyd may have stacked the deck against marquez, but he outboxed him and won every second of every round. The weight difference was nothing like Fury v Wilder

People hate Floyd. I get the reasons why, I really do. But to compare his insane talent and depth of resume to Fury is laughable

I think Fury on his night has proven a very good fighter, but it's not like he lewis or Ali

Where in Floyd's resume do we see the seifers, swhwarz, wallin etc since he won world titles?

Floyd fought mostly 20 something world champions in his career. They weren't of course all unified champions but many were top dog at some point of their career

It's crazy how underrated he is on this forum

Probably because you compared a medicore talent to an extraordinary one

All you guys hating and trolling Floyd deep down know he is levels of talent above Fury. He's better than usyk too

Nobody is questioning floyds boxing ability. Just his mentality to fighting anyone anytime anyplace anywhere on a level playing field.

I'll take big moma Fury anyday for his excitement and willingness factor.
