Imagine Golota throwing a huge low-blow on Tyson mid fight, id fancy mike to just go ape****, pull a crowbar from thin air and proceed to cave golotas head in with it :yep
Fight would have been over at the Pre-Fight Press Conferences. Same applies to guys like Danny Williams. They would have been Frightened of him, Scared.
Oh, i alwys thought he fought Lennox after. Doesnt matter, Tyson still beat his ass. Ok he didnt beat Bowe, but he was beating him (in the balls)
"Listen man, i aint never done anything hes never done, so go on, ask him that question wh***boy" Tyson referring to Golotas antics. This fight was the perfet example of a bully meeting his match.
Tyson should have been dqed after the first bite and not allowed to repeat the offence, what was Lane thinking, what in his mind does one have to do to be disqualified? Tyson should then have been baned for life, I know Tyson appologists will say he was responding to buts, however those that know boxing are are aware that Tyson reacted as bullies do when taken to a place they would rather not be. The real culprit however is Mills Lane who did not protect a fighter wihin the rules available to him from what was a vicious criminal assault.
Mills Lane is at fault, however i dont think he knew Tyson was going to do it again. Tyson merely responded in the only way he knew how, he realised he couldnt box Holyfield so he went to what he knew, the streets and bit him. I dont think Tyson was a bully, if he was a bully he would have cowered away, im not trying to make excuses, but he reacted in the only way he knew how. Holyfield should know, he also bit someone before. Tyson disgraced himself and his sport, but i think he redeemed himself against Lewis
To be fair to Mills Lane he has admitted he should have DQ'd him the first time. Also, if I remember rightly Lane was all for DQing him at the first bite but the ringside commissioner suggested he ask Holyfield and the doctor if he can fight on - which had nothing to do with it really. Tyson bit Holyfield out of fear and jealousy, frustration at Holyfield being better than him, like a spoiled kid really. That's the way I always read it, and that's the way Tyson has begun to explain it more recently in interviews, in his maturity. Mentally Tyson was a mess.
