If Tyson had beaten Lewis in 2002 - where would you rank Iron Mike as a HW ATG?

    As long as he got out at that point and Lewis went on to still beat Vitali.

    I think virtually everyone felt sorry for Tyson watching the fight. He was obviously up for it, but it just didn't happen. Whatever he once had, had now gone. I'm not much of a Tyson fan but watching the old man take a beating like that was an uncomfortable experience.

    And perhaps another question is who would Tyson have fought next?

    There was a rematch cause so I guess another one with Lewis, but assuming he wins that too then who's next? Could we have had Tyson-Holyfield III in 2003? I think Evander would've been clamouring for that.

    Tyson had ZERO chance against Lewis going in.

    Well it is a bit of game as are all these H2h questions which will never happen. Personally I agree with most of the posters, it would shoot Tyson up several spots on the ATG such that he should be on everyone's list and could make some peoples top 5, but Lewis would suffer hugely if this unfolded as suggested. He would certainly be out of everyone's top 10 I would think. He'd certainly fall behind, Holyfield, might even fall behind Bowe, and the Klitscho brothers (depending on how their careers pan out). So Lewis would be considered 3rd out of the Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis area and as mentioned he could also be behind Bowe as well. So basically it was a must win for Lewis in order to secure his legacy.

    Tyson would have jumped up to number 3 behind Louis and Ali regardless of what happens afterwards.

    Lewis drops out of the top ten, perhaps even the top 20.

    Tyson jumps up in the top ten, not sure I make him top 3, with Holmes, Johnson, Jeffies and Marciano completeing for that spot on MY list lol.

    Well I wouldnt agree with that. To me Foreman winning the title with a one punch knockout after getting his butt kicked for 10 straight rounds is not as impressive as a dominant performance or even a somewhat competitive fight.
    This was a scenario that I thought would play out if Tyson did in fact win.
