To quote Mike "yeah, I was getting really pissed off over him butting me. But he was kicking my ass, anyway."

Tyson was a really good HW Ali was a great HW big difference.Tyson couldn't handle pressure inside or outside of the ring Ali thrived on both.Through Ali's career he went 3 divorces went to war with the USA Government which cost his 3 & a half years of his prime in the ring.Yet with all that he ended up winning the belt 3 times at the time never done before.Shavers & Foreman are considered the top 2 hardest HW punchers of all time but Ali took care of both.Sonny liston was the Tyson of the early 1960's & no one & i mean no one gave a young 22 year old Ali a chance but we know from history that Ali came out on top.Everyone remembers the Ali of the 1970's who beat the big names of a tough era of HW yet forget the Ali of the 1960's who was in his 20's & no one could lay a hand on & who fought like a MW.It amazes me that in boxing debates it is always who would win between Ali vs Tyson when the talk should be who would win between Ali vs Louis as with out question these are the top 2 HW of all time.Everyone forgets about the brown Bomber 25 consecutive title defenses folks a boxing record for any division.

You make a valid point, Richard. Perhaps, just maybe if Rooney had still been around, possibly he remains champ longer.
Hard to say with Tyson tho, buddy. He was a ticking time bomb.

He bloody quit the second time. Stands out like dog balls. Holyfield had an answer to everything he threw up and then some.

I've always believed that a prime Tyson or even a 91' Tyson should beat any version of Holyfield. But Tyson's mental fragility & Holyfield's stubborn streak bother me. Lewis get's K.O'd.

The Evander Holyfield that beat Dwight Muhammad Qawi over 15 rounds is an absolute machine. I think if this one goes the distance it could be decided by the judges scorecards also young Mike Tyson has a decent chin as demonstrated in the Buster Douglas and Donovan Razor Rudduck fights so will be hard to stop at this stage. The young flat top pre Emmauel Stewert trained Lennox Lewis has a chance with his fast jab and left hooks to the body and looping overhand rights but is suspectable to getting caught , which the opportunistic young Tyson will look to seize upon. This fight could also go the distance remember Tyson went all the way with gatekeeper/journeyman James Tillis who was previously a prospect of Angelo Dundee's so I reckon either of these would be decided on judges the scorecards.

I think Tyson coldcocks them both, especially Lewis, Holyfield would be a bit tougher.

Tyson stopped training properly by the time of the Douglas fight and was more into women and drugs at that point. Tyson had a very short peak to his career.

Always Tyson 87-88 what a joke.A boxer becomes great in what he does over a period of time not 2 years.Ali won the HW belt 3 times over his 14 years of Boxing & that includes beating the best of the 70's & in his 30's.Louis who defended his HW belt a record 25 consecutive times a record to this day for any division.
