Ding ding ding. It looks awfully thin for many other historical great HWs.

Usyk could easily complete with and beat many of the great HWs of the past. I think the size and skill of modern SHW like Lewis & K bros would be a stretch for him.

I don't know, on resume it would still be a very hard sell. It kind of feels like Usyk has joined the division too late to stake a claim to the top 10.

    Of modern era fighters,
    • Holyfield became Undisputed, and had a trilogy with prime-Bowe, and nearly became undisputed again against prime-Lewis (fight 2). He also has a far deeper resume.
    • Wlad Klitschko should also place above him, given the depth of his resume and when we consider the 39/40-year-old version is still the best win on both Fury and Joshua's resumes.
    • Mike Tyson, pretty much cleared out the top 10 on his way to undisputed, he fought and beat a who's who of the late-80s, and was still a force throughout the 90s.
That's before the historical champions like, Johnson and Dempsey.

Then on top of that there are some historical boxers like "the colored champions" who through no fault of their own weren't allowed to fight for the title, but whose resumes are insane:

Usyk is a great fighter and say Top 15 is nothing to be sniffed at, but Top 10 seems like a reach. But to be honest, it's really difficult to predict, as one, he hasn't fought these guys yet, and two, what condition is Fury in really? What condition was Joshua in? What condition will Zhang be in when he eventually gets a title shot? Although, I think a win over Hrgovic would be a great one over a prime contender.

At the moment, Usyk just hasn't fought enough at heavyweight, and he hasn't been in enough of a rush to do so either. But, either way, I'm enjoying Usyk while he is here.

He’s as big or bigger than most of them yet they all punch harder than him. something’s not adding up here.

When Wlad was preparing for the Fury fight, Usyk slapped him around in sparring so badly that he was thrown out of Wlad's camp.

Blq, blq, blq, blq. Usyk is 37 he is done after Fury. He don't need to beat anyone else. He is a CW and he spend his best days there and beats everyone in their prime and their backyard. He was already past his best when he enter the HW division. Still very good in AJ 1 fight, but he ain't 26 years old. He got 1 desire and that was Undisputed.

No. There is nothing Usyk can do to be a top 10 HW.

Nah. This version of Fury is a shadow of his former self. Difficult to say how good Fury is now until we see him fight.

If Usyk was able to beat Prime fury then maybe top 10

Usyk's resume is too thin the claim Usyk deserves to be considered an ATG is ludicrous think about the amount of professional bouts his countryman Wladimir Klitschko was successful in. Floyd is an ATG and had 50 fights. Even Tyson Fury's been more active and this particular point is brought up in response to his detractors. The quantity of professional bouts has to be taken into consideration when debating where certain fighters deserve to be ranked in a theoretical pound for pound ATG list.

Top ten? No. He simply has not done enough as a HW to garner such a high ranking in a deep division. But to be fair, there isn't a single HW today that can make the HW All time top ten, so no biggie there.

When Usyk beats Fury he'll belong to an exclusive club of Fury conquerors. Current members are John McDermott and Francis Ngannou.

I include Wallin in that club too. When you need 47 stitches because you have a huge gash that could cause permanent damage to your eye, that's a TKO and the fight must be stopped, no ifs or buts. Only boxing corruption let Fury "win on points" that day.

Fury is used to bare knuckle gypsy rules, if you can't beat T.Fury within the confines of the old school queensbury rule book you simply cannot win against a man like Tyson Fury lmao

Wlad's ego was quite clearly a detriment there maybe Usyk could've taught him a thing or two about angles and movement
