If you land the right shot at the right time at the right angle you can hurt anyone. I am sure Usyk has enough in his skill set to set Daniel up Remember, Daniel is still very nervous about his eye that Joyce fractured and Usyk will be going for that eye from the opening to make Daniel hesitant coming in I pick Usyk victory via stoppage. He will close that eye up nicely
Punch accumulation can be devastating. If a fighter is skilled enough he can bring down a bigger opponent. Its been a long time since the HW division has seen the speed, accuracy and perfect ring IQ that Usyk has. It only takes a small axe to bring down the biggest oak tree in the forest.
It'll probably mean he didn't step it up when he should, because as soon as his hands begin to flow Dubious is going to be blowing out of his arse.
I’d be really surprised if he didn’t stop Dubois. The guy’s legs turn to noodles every time that tiny little peanut head of his gets touched.
I think its already clear that hes not a big puncher, he wasnt even at cruiserweight. Dubois is a big unit too so its not too damning if you dont hurt him. If Dubois does go down it'll be from him getting broken down and gassing out.
Dubois was clipped on the temple by a looping left that definitely rocked him and caused his leg to give out in a way that injured it. I wouldn't say he wasn't hurt at all because he clearly was.
Yes, Usyk is obviously not a big hitter at heavyweight. I wonder if Dubois should go after him?, I mean he can't outbox him and win a decision so applying pressure and going right at him might be his best chance at victory. He does have a good punch....
I mean, speaking as someone who's a huge fan of Usyk, I'm not really anticipating a knockdown from Usyk against Dubois. What I figure will happen is Dubois will try to go for the KO early, knowing he has no chance in hell of outboxing Usyk, gas himself out and either lose by a wide decision or get stopped in the later rounds by accumulation. Uysk's never been a big puncher. Since becoming champion down at cruiserweight he's only stopped four people - Mchunu, Huck, Bellew and Witherspoon, who quit on his stool, and Hunter damn near got stopped on his feet in their fight as well. The lack of knockdowns didn't stop him from winning those other fights though. So all that being said, if he can't make Dubois hit the canvas I won't think anything different about him. It won't say anything we don't already know.
Did he not get a TKO against Chaz Witherspoon? I was thinking the fight was stopped but maybe I’m not remembering correctly how it ended. I can’t get boxrec to load right now or I’d look on there.
