If Usyk isn't available who should be next for Journeyman Joshua?

A rematch against Parker? Eddie could sell it as the "BATTLE OF THE JOURNEYMAN".

A rematch against Whyte could be on the table as well if Whyte isn't too damaged after the Fury fight next month.

Personally i would love to see the Joyce fight. Seeing Joyce jabbing Journeyman Joshuas face in for 12 months would be a solid number to sell for Eddie the Snake.

Wilder or Joyce would be best.

So we'll probably see him in against a very very old Luis Ortiz? Fits the bill for a Matchroom fighter being well past his best and well into his 40s.

Is this “journeyman” nickname something you learned from Colby Covington?

    Wallin - closest to Usyk
Joyce or Wilder - just good fights against top fighters.

AJ fights top competition. At least sometimes he does. A young top 10 opponent will due.

i actually like the idea and battle of the journeyman would be a good slogan for eddie to sell the fight.

I think it's possible he picks Wallin or Ortiz simply because they're southpaws to practise for Usyk

Some time ago I proposed a thread (for which I was harshly criticized)
on the fact that as the times changed the word "journeyman" could somehow also adapt to fighters like Wilder or Joshua paid handsomely to lose (not intentionally, of course, but for lack of their boxing skills) in a thunderous way. I am glad that someone has brushed up on this topic by including Joshua as well as Wilder in the "journeymen of today" category.
