TBH, there really is not many heavyweights who are young and top 20, let alone top 10.

I agree with Joyce or Wilder. Wallin or Sanchez would also make sense and are less risky for AJ due to their lack of power. Ortiz is another possibility but he looks shot and likely gets stopped early.

Go ahead and name off some young, top 10 fighters who he missed out on?

Calling AJ a journeyman says more about you and your knowledge than being an accurate description of AJ dude. Not liking a fighter doesn't mean you have to assume they are the worst.

Yes, and that's 2 more than Wilder. Can he make it three?

    You see Ruiz vs. Arreola?

Remember Wilder fought Fury and although not young he fought Ortiz too. Resume not much in it between Wilder and Joshua.

That Alabama dude coming of 2 KO losses in a row maybe? Low risk, decent reward.

AJ has beaten half dozen guys better (Wlad, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz and Pule ) than anyone Wilder has beaten (Ortiz). Even Takam is better than anyone Wilder has beaten apart from Ortiz. There is a massive gulf in quality of records between the two.

Pulev isn't better than Ortiz. Whyte ducked Ortiz and he beat him earlier in his career. Parker is debateable so is Povetkin. Wilder beat a few decent fighters like Arreola, Stiverne when he was champion, Duhaupas etc

Again I genuinely think Ortiz vs. Wlad would be a pick em at this stage.

Pulev is better than Ortiz. Could see Pulev out jabbing Ortiz and comfortably winning on points or even stopping him (even Martin dropped him with a jab). Plus Pulevs most notable wins over Chisora and Hughie are more impressive than Ortiz most notable wins of Jennings and Martin.

Parker and Povetkin records are far superior to Ortiz its not even remotely close.

Arreola?? If they fought ten years ago, it might have been a decent win. Ortiz being 50-50 with a retired Wlad says A LOT about Ortiz actually.

The thing about being built up is, it's marketing. It's promoting. You have to exaggerate a little to sell the general public. That's why I crap on poster who whine and ***** about hype. The boxers don't control that. If their promoter isn't telling everyone they have the next best bread slicer ever, no one will care.
