If Usyk retired today, where would he rank all time P4P and at HW?

They vary widely for anyone not names Louis or Ali.

I have Lewis and Marciano essentially tied for 3, and there are still those on here who will actively argue that Lewis was a glass-jawed fraud and that great fighters don't get stopped twice. I don't think I have to go into the depth of Marciano hate.

You yourself, as most, have Holmes in the top 5...I lead a vocal minority that points out that he fought a lot of poor opposition when better guys were available, and ultimately greatly contributed to title proliferation by accepting belt from the gutter rather than fight Page.

The Sonny Liston craze is a bit past It's peak, but there are still a lot of guys on here who have him a top-five head to head for squashing mostly guys who would be dwarfed by Usyk's cruiserweight opponents when rehydrated.

Don't even get me started on Dempsey...there are guys who routinely put me on blast for pointing out that he never fought his #1, or even Langford, and its hard to guage how good he really was.

    And on, and on.

Usyk as a heavyweight will indeed be controversial...just like every heavyweight champ ever except two.

I think he's either first or second at cruiserweight between him and Holyfield and either order would be fine. They've both earned the top position there.

As far as heavyweight, he did win and unify and always in foreign countries. He hasn't beaten a long variety of heavyweights though like so many greats but of course, his career is not done yet. I'd say right now he's in my top fifty but he's got to do more, which I believe he will and hopefully end up top ten. He's one of my favorites.

As far as pound-for-pound, I'd say he's top fifty as well and that's very high. We have to remember all the guys who came before him. Still, he's not done. A few more big wins makes him jump much higher. It wouldn't take a lot but I'm giving respect to all the greats of the past as well. We can't forget what they did.

the same people will again be saying fury is number 1 atg if he wins the rematch. they are motivated by nationalism, not realism.
