Murican liberals from NY write the boxing narrative.
He won't compare to their 'ATG's despite beating all of them without trouble.
He would have done better during the height of Ukraine propaganda, maybe got a film or two if he beat Fury, but since that war has been replaced by new agendas, he's going to struggle to measure up.

I got so excited when I thought this said "topless" and then I realized, yeah, they almost always are topless anyway.

I dunno the top 20 ATG's that's exalted company we're talking about filled with fighters who achieved remarkable things. He'd definitely be the stand out best P4P fighter of his era and break the top 15 heavyweights of all time, maybe even the top 10, depending on how much Fury actually has left given how poor his last performance was.

Yes. Consider he'll have cleared out CW & HW in 22 fights. That's unmatched. Special stuff.

I dont think putting Holyfield over Usyk disqualifies Usyk here.. because there's a good case Holyfield is in the top 20 greatest of all time as well, despite his drug cheating.. and of course Holyfield has a better resume, he has a better resume than almost anyone... so again that's not a slight, but even Holyfield himself admits he'd struggle against Usyk.. go look it up.. when fighters like that are questioning their abilities against u you know you're pretty special.

Usyk won Olympic gold and world championship in the amateur arena. Subsequently, he cleaned out a strong Cruiserweight division fighting away against a murderer's row of quality opponents, many of whom were undefeated. Finally, he has defeated AJ twice, who had previously only had an avenged loss against Fatty Ruiz. He is now being ducked by a guy close to 50 pounds heavier then he is.

There is nothing more that Usyk could have achieved. He has taken every challenge with open arms, and, even when he was the underdog, such as in almost every fight since and including Briedis, he has come out as the winner. People were saying AJ would knock him out in 1 round - instead he beat AJ handily twice.

Objectively he is the greatest fighter of this millennia so far, apart from his countryman, whose Dad trains him. He is fighting far bigger opponents and beating them decisively.

To compare him to the casual lovers ATG Floyd - if Floyd fought and beat GGG decisively, something Canelo could not achieve, then he could be considered in the ballpark of Usyk's win iver AJ, although Floyd never fought the level of fighters that Usyk fought at Cruiserweight. Floyd ducked most of his greatest threats in their prime and at their preferred weight including Cotto, Tszyu, Hatton, Margarito, Williams, Canelo, Pacquiao, Winky, Clottey, Mosley, Lara etc. Look at that padded record and you will realise Usyk surpassed him 5 times over.

He will have done everything. Absolutely everything. Every amateur competition, olympics gold, cruiserweight, heavyweight, lots of defences against top opposition with no ducking, losing barely any rounds ever, all while being a good person.

Well I personally wouldn't have Holyfield in top 20 but even if you believe Holyfield sneaks in top 20, comparing their records Holyfield has a much deeper resume.

I think beating a prime Bowe would be better than beating this current version of Fury who recently got a gift vs an MMA fighter.

And I think beating Mike Tyson is clearly better than beating Joshua.

Aswell as all the other wins Holyfield had at Heavyweight vs Holmes, Foreman, Thomas, Mercer, etc which is a much deeper resume than Usyk.

Usyk edges Holyfield at Cruiserweight even though I think fighters like De Leon, Qawi, are as good as any fighters Usyk beat at Cruiserweight, but at Heavyweight it's no contest clearly Holyfield has a much deeper resume.

As as I said if you think Holyfield sneaks in top 20 I don't see how Usyk sneaks in either when his resume is not on par with Holyfield's.

You're bringing up his amateur career? That proves my point when you have to bolster his resume with his amateur record.

No. Boxing is insanely deep when you get to la creme de la creme. Let's put it like this: Classic reckons a guy like Golovkin doesn't crack top ten all time at middleweight. Usyk is imho the #1 cruiser and that's plenty.

It all depends on how people truly rate Fury as how to how highly a Usyk win can be rated. The general consensus on here being that Fury is an over rated bum who ducked all the meaningful fights, whilst milking the title with needless voluntarys and crossover fights, with his poor showing against Ngannou showing everybody that he is clearly in decline along with Joshua doing so well against a hand picked non puncher like Wallin compared to Furys showing years earlier, well surely Usyk only just has to turn up and he’s won Undisputed. Defeating Fury is merely nothing of note at this point it seems lol.

Tyson Fury is a man who only gets motivated for fights in very rare occasions.

That is the story of his career, no motivation. Poor diet. Poor routine. zero interest in defending plastic belts. These are things that kill normal boxers career out of the gate. But Fury gets away with it because he's so gifted. Fury is in boxing to smash up people who people put on pedestals like Wlad, Wilder, Usyk & AJ. These are normal men they cannot compete with Tyson Fury.

He will blitz Usyk, not because Usyk is overrated but because fury truly is the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ in boxing terms.

Fury is in decline but so is Usyk but a bodybuilder isn't going to exploit that.

People will be surprised and I don't want to hear the excuses.

"How come Fury could hurt Usyk but AJ couldn't?"
"How did Fury make it look so easy"
"Why is Tyson Fury so much better looking than I remember"
"I take back everything I said about Fury, I was always a fan"

fury is a huge ducker who doesn't have a good victory to his name, he does next to nothing for usyks resume.
