    We'd still be talking about him, see how no1 talks about him anymore?? he woulda been the next mega star crossover appeal de la hoyaish hed be set for life..but boxing can be cruel and unforgiving..and he fought the most stupid fight ever let the crowd change his fight plan or i dont know his emotions got the best of him and fought toe to toe with a destructive slugger..all props to maidana he weathered the storm and broke down the young ortiz props 2 maidana but it woulda been better for boxing for ortiz..the only way i can see for ortiz to be redeemed is to say he fought stupidly wasnt ready bla bla bla call out maidana fight smart and finish of maidana if the oppurtunity comes..thoughts? :think

    or maybe kno1 here likes him..i hate that he quit but he had nothing left and got broken down..plus sides hes lefty fast powerful exciting..and crowd pleasing..

    can he comeback in a pacquiaoesque cinderella story and 1 day be p4p or has he been mentally broken?

    Victor fought the type of fight he had planned on from the day this fight was announced. He later, in the post fight interview. said he fought a stupid but planned style of fight. Ortiz had been reading his own press. He thought he could knock anyone out. He had become an arrogant little ***** before this fight. Now he is a humbled one. He will be back and better than before.

    You'll find that boxing history, heck life itself for that matter, is littered with "what ifs?" All we have to go on are actual results and Ortiz lost. That's all there is to it.

    i hope ortiz bounces back..

    The same thing happened with one of my favs. in Ponce de Leon..

    he is slowly comming back but since he lost to JuanMa everyone **** on him and say he was a hype job. I think he just rushed to fast and got caught.

    That is a common thing on this site..
