MAidana aint no Barrios. **** is BArrios was American or could speak English HE would be a ****ing Classic. i remeber whenhe was getting ready to fight some guy he said HE trained By chasing Rabbits Cuz thats all His Opponet was going to do cuz he had no BALLS :rofl:rofl:rofl
**** it if Khan can do it so i guess he can Too. But he needs a NEw trainer Maybe Richardson would do some improvements:good
Don't think the trainer was responsible for the loss, Victor was clearly told to box and not to brawl, but he didn't listen. The biggest mistake however was made by Golden Boy, jumping up from C- level to the top and fighting the hugely underrated Maidana. Victor clearly wasn't ready, and the lack of experience, the cut, being hurt to the body and head and being mentally broke led to Ortiz 'quitting', however I don't like the term, I don't think he had anything left, he just realized better to leave on his legs than on a stretcher. So I think no change in the corner is necessary, with better discipline and actually listening to the trainer can get him to the top.
Ortiz had Maidana hanging on in the first round, one more clean punch and he was done. He'll come again. The level of hype around here for guys like him is hilarious - then when they lose for the first time the same people are telling you he's now ****.
The only reason I would watch Ortiz again is to watch him get brutally knocked out. It wasn't enough that he quit the fight, but then he gave that pansy ass interview with Kellerman. Somebody with GBP should have ran into the ring and stopped the interview. What a disgrace.
:-( Typically, the type of people who jump on the bandwagon so quickly are the same type who jump off at the first shaky ride, and throw a Molotov cocktail on it just for sure. atsch I rate honesty very high in any situation and Victor, truly hurt mentally and physically, instead of getting into the excuses, shocked many with his honesty and people are pissing on him for that? :think He gave us a superb fight, came up short, and the moment he ended the fight he went to congratulate Maidana then gave honesty you rarely see in any sport (not the fake Golden Smile of his boss of Floyd kind of BS). If anything, Victor gained respect in my eyes. And I picked Maidana to win and I rooted for Maidana.
