If Vitali Klitschko enters the top 10 ATG, does that force Lewis to #3?

vitali cannot get into the top ten, it's too crowded with great fighters fighting other greats.

Ring Mag's top 5 or 10 fighters (Head-2-Head) hasn't meant jack**** in the last quarter of a century........

I'm shocked Ring and KO mag even is still published in 2010..... I cancelled out back in 2005 after reading all that dribble from Steve Farhood, Jeff Ryan, Nigel Collins and Bert Sugar since 1980......

Yes, I can see you have an eye for humor, kid.

    Attention span too short ?

Or just an acknowledgement of having nothing to come back with ?

Obama has something to do with this ?

Says the little fool who once started a thread in the general with

Still learning the English, lad ?

I've been following the sport since before your daddy was born.

Other than Wlad, whom I qualified, which of the other three you named would have a ghost of a chance ?

And, as I mentioned, neither Klitschko has any inclination to fight the other.

Suzie, you make the occasional decent post, interspersed among numerous nuggets of unintended comedy, like your Valuev post above.

    Not to mention

    Good, solid patriotic stuff !!!!:yep

    and

    :rofl:rofl

And here's one you must have posted after getting high with Boo:

Quite the analyst you were. Right up there on Boo's level.:rofl

What makes this even funnier is your implication that somehow you need to attain lofty expertise in analysis to post in the classic.

And your comical ass is in there spewing out gems like these.:yep

You actually decided to look up my posts from 2-3 years ago, most of which I made when I was either High or Drunk out of my mind? Wow man, good for you for having the free time to do that. Maybe you should pay more attention to your grandchildren you old fart. I kinda feel bad for you. Are you lonely? I guess you can post what you want. What ever makes you feel better about yourself. Your probably the least respected poster here who is above the age of 65. I think the fire has burned out for you. I think it's time for you to just lay down and die. Hope your kids and grandchildren haven't grown up to be as arrogant, smug, and pretentious as you.

My father is 62. You must be 75 at least?

Who started with the personal **** here, Suzie. Go back and have a read at my first post and your response and tell me which of us comes off as condescending and smug.

You opened that door, kid, with your condescending remarks about your superiority as a lounge poster. And who did or didn't belong posting there.

You could have responded to the actual post but decided to go ad hominem.

And I didn't have far to look. You're a regular on here and I saw your posts as you made them.

If you were drunk or high, then that's your excuse. But you can't have it bot ways.

More of the personal stuff eh, Suzie ?

As Ali asked George "Is that all you got ?"

Early fifties, sonny. And your approval or lack of it will not much affect my general level of respect on here.

Great analyst, and classy too !

You need to look up those terms, Suzie, as you evidently don't know their meaning.

Now, a couple of tips (FREE !!!) to improve the overall quality of your posting on here.

Avoid the personal and try to stick to the points raised.

And avoid posting on the Klitschkos.

That's really uncalled for, Suzie. You blow a lot of hot air and people let you, but when you receive a little nudge back you reach for the death-wishes right away on an older person who has done nothing besides debate?

He did not make this personal, you did, and in a classless manner as well.

    >>>It depends on how you define an ATG. Since very few ATG’s hold a win over another one in their primes or near primes, we must consider other things. Head to head speculation? Beating ranked contenders? Career Longevity? Great comebacks?

Accolades such as a the highest KO%, the highest rounds won vs. rounds lost ratio, never being floored by a punch add to Vitali’s legacy. I also think you need to look at a fighter losses. When did they happen? How did they happen? Was there chance for a re-match? In Vitali’s case his two losses were fights he took on less than 2 weeks’ notice vs. an ATG, and a future #1 ring ranked contender. The reason for defeat is torn shoulder injury and cuts. Not being out pointed or stopped. He did not get a chance for a re-match.

I have had Lewis in my top 5 for a while, even before he fought Vitali. I might pick on Lewis, but it’s just a mock to the anti Klitschko folks.
Right now, Vitali is not in most people's top ten, but years from now when the emotional attachment to fighters by those talking boxing today dies down, he could be. Point and case, Joe Louis was not thought of as a top 5 ATG fighter in his day. Neither was Ali in the 1960’s. And it took forever for Holmes to get his due. Lewis, in my opinion still is undervalued.

When they man up and fight him? Valuev and Haye won't. Ducking a 39 year old who has a major world title belt is something I have never seen in boxing. Word is Adamek will fight Vitali next in Madison Square Garden. Is he good enough for you?

Speaking of all time lists, I wonder if the in boxing from North American and England would greatly differ from one in the rest of Europe and Asia. My hunch the Klitschkos would rank much higher in nations that do not use English as their first language.

Last point, Vitali is Lewis best win because Holyfield and Tyson were past it.

Valuev sucks. Surely he's not in the world's top 5, even by RING magazine's shitty standards ?
(I have no idea why people consider "RING magazine ranked contenders" as any sort of gold standrad).

Holyfield would be a better opponent than Valuev right now.
I dont know who's worse though - Valuev or Briggs ? Probably Briggs.

I don't have Valuev in my top 5, but Adamek and Haye are. Holyfield should not be allowed to fight either Klitschko. It could end up being a tragic event for him. Briggs might be better than Valuev. His hand speed and power are much better.
