If Vitali or Wlad beats Pulev/Povetkin/Fury, will he rank above Lennox Lewis?

Pulev, Povetkin and Fury....hardly Tyson, Holyfield and Klitschko is it?

Even if you look at all wlad's opponents none of them are as dangerous as ruddock

 

As I have said earlier some of the contenders coming up wlad has to beat convincingly and they then have to go on to have Stella careers themselves for wlad to have any chance of ranking higher than Lewis . Wlads challengers so far have been of a low level

 

Not at all. Neither of them have ever been undisputed champs,2 time lineal champs,very few names on the records even still etc

Lewis was undisputed,it's a fact. His true reign wasn't the best either but he was undisputed.

Lewis fought prime Briggs,a guy who was deemed an acceptable challenge for Vitali 15 years later!

Also,the fact that there was 2 Klitschko brothers can't be underestimated.

Lennox's record against fighters who were top 10 at some point in their careers was 21-2-1. His record against men who were champions or rated 1 or 2 in Ring's year end ratings is 8-2-1. If it compels you, throw in the 2nd Holyfield fight as a win instead of a draw.

Wlad's is 20-2 using the former criteria, 8-0 against the latter.

Wlad's got to get back to fighting top contenders and beating them, which also means the top contenders need to nut up and take their shot. If he does that, he'll surpass Lewis on longevity.

 

If Wlad becomes undisputed then maybe.
But he also can't be fighting old cruiserweights and inexperienced kids.

These Klits claim they want a challenge and then they pick guys with 16 fights to beat up or old guys! If Wlad beats Pulev,Fury and gets the WBC title I can see him on Lewis level.

 

Who cares.. I know there's not one person that Lewis beat that vitali or wlad couldn't that says enough..

 

The Tyson Lewis beat was 10 years past his prime and washed up on drugs and alcohol.
Pulev,a ranked contender with no losses and young in age would be a better win. Tyson only had a name in 2002.

Do you think Lewis would have lost to Corrie Sanders or Ross Purity? I don't. And if he did, he would have most certainly avenged those loses as he did any other in his career.

 

Dangerous doesn't equate to overall level though. Although i would like to see Wlad in with those types.

Lewis used to get ripped apart for his resume, he beats some shot old fighters near the end of his career and precedes the unpopular kilt era and it's suddenly changed in to a fantastic resume. His resume is close to Wlad's. h2h i favor Lewis.

 

Agreed, probably 14 years past prime, still a beast but definitely well over the crest. If there was no K's Pulev would likely be holding a belt and looking to build his own legacy.

 

I never seen wlad ko'ed before maybe tko'ed I have seen Lewis ktfoed
And i think it doesnt take a genius to see WLAd has beaten better opponents since ross and corrie so I call that a flute IMO.
