    this could come out good.
Adamek is contracted to fight Wlad if Vitali doesnt show, and if Vitali gets striped, or leaves the belt up for grabs and Adamek is the nr1 contender, they could just fight for the WBC belt and the winner would be UNDISPUTED CHAMPION.

    is this plausible:think?

Very, except they would be "interim", and not undisputed. And that is a big IF Vitali reliquishes his belt altogether. This is a voluntary defense, and unless he fails to fight Stiverne b4 march, he won't be stripped.

That is NOT the way the contract works. Vitali is supposed to fight Adamek... not either brother. That was the early contract... earlier in the year to make sure that if either brother was hurt... or if Wlad's fight goes through with Haye... that Adamek would have Vitali to fight, ect... The final decision on who was to fight Adamek had to be made 90 days before the fight... obviously so press conferences, training camps, ect... could be completed with both fighters knowing who their opponent is, the venue can sell tickets, advertise, ect....

Once it was decided that it would be Vitali 90 days out... Wlad is no longer in the contract. It isn't as if Wlad is in training camp right now... training for Adamek and is ready to jump into the ring if Vitali breaks his hand a week out from the fight. You have to use some logic here.

maybe it's time for Vitali to retire. He's a great champion, but his head is in politics right now.

i dont want a champ that only goes on half steam, even if he could

BTW, this is NOT a mandatory defense of the WBC title. He would not be stripped if he didn't follow through with a voluntary defense. On top of that... the WBC would NOT have Wlad and Adamek fight for the vacant title if that were the case. Wlad is the true Champ... and he is NOT in the WBC rankings because he holds other titles.... the WBC would have their #1 ranked fighter fight their #2 ranked fighter... or the highest ranked available opponent to for the Vacant strap.

Exactly. You cant be ranked by any boxing organisation if you are an ABC titlist.

If you fight the top contender or the highest ranked available contender as your voluntary defense... it usually takes care of your mandatory defense as well. The point is that Vitali was not forced to fight his mandatory in his next fight, or within this time frame... so he certainly wouldn't be stripped of his title for pulling out.
