If Vitali retires after Adamek, should Wladimir fight for the vacant WBC belt?

This is hypothetical, but entirely possible imo.

If Vitali wins decisively and retires directly after the Adamek bout, do you guys want to see Wladimir fighting it out for the vacant belt and with that the undisputed HW championship with the WBC top contender?

    WBC
    CHAMPION: VITALI KLITSCHKO (UKRAINE)

    WBA CHAMPION: Wladimir Klitschko (Ukraine)
    IBF CHAMPION: Wladimir Klitschko (Ukraine)
    WBO CHAMPION: Wladimir Klitschko (Ukraine)

    Contenders:
WBC SILVER CHAMPION: Bermane Stiverne (Canada)
WBC INT. CHAMPION: Mariusz Wach (Poland)

    1 Tomasz Adamek (Poland)
    2 Chris Arreola (US)
    3 Alexander Dimitrenko (Germany) EBU
    4 Bermane Stiverne (Canada) SILVER/USNBC
    5 Johnathon Banks (US) NABF
    6 Denis Boytsov (Russia)
    7 Juan Carlos Gomez (Cuba)
    8 Chauncy Welliver (US) AMERICA/ABCO
    9 Mariusz Wach (Poland) INTL
    10 Ray Austin (US)
    11 Eric Molina (US)
    12 Luis Ortiz (Cuba) FECARBOX
    13 Robert Helenius (Finland)
    14 Kubrat Pulev (Bulgaria)
15 Tyson Fury (GB) BBB C / COMM

And if you agree, who should be his opponent?

Just some bull title they made up to get more money.
But he becomes an official contender for the "real" WBC belt

I think he should fight Arreola for it, because he would be the #1 in that case.

I'd say let that lot fight between themselves first and then Wlad will come and claim the beltholder's scalp.

The WBC will not put him in a fight for the vacancy. That is just not going to happen.

If anything, Wlad would fight the winner after they got to do their little voluntary dance.

While it may be possible.....it is as unlikely as Chaz Bono being on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

    No.

He should fight the "new" WBC Champion the winner of:

    Arreola vs. Stiverne.

Yes he should. Against the highest ranked WBC fighter. Simple.

Is WBC silver title like an interim championship? Does that mean if Vitali retired, Stiverne would be the champion? Please, say it ain't so :nut

That is impossible. Being a belt holder with other organizations, Wlad would never be allowed to fight for a vacant WBC belt. The WBC would let their two top contenders fight it out.

The only way for Wlad to fight for the WBC belt would be if Vitali retired (or lost) and another then WBC belt holder fights him.

E.g. if Vitali lost to Adamek then Wlad probably could use a K2 rematch option on Adamek and try to get his belt.

no that silver belt is completely meaningless. a little more expensive than those international title belts but thats it..
