P4P is a resume and performance based rankings, I think we can agree as much - Rigondeaux is top elite in skills, but without performances behind them, Pavlik wasn't the most skilled, but put on wins to get there - it's who you beat titles included, and how.

On the how, Vitali is the only fighter today who lost less than 6 rounds in the past decade (incl. Lewis fight, stopped on cuts, ahead), he also stopped all but 2 of his last 10 opponents. The quality of the performances is A+, and he did face the best the HW and CW division had to offer (bro excluded) as good or bad as they were, that's the who.


Now, whether you think he's P4P top10 or not is up to you, but when I'm done breaking down the who, pls share the names (with performances) you think are deservedly ranked ahead of Vitali Klitschko!


- Johnson (top5 HW, top ranked WBC contender), Sanders (no2 HW, WBO champ, coming off WK win. For The Ring & WBC titles), Williams (B-level HW, top15) - these are the fighters VK faced before the injury retirement, and all I ask is if your P4P ranking regarding Floyd's return over LW champ JMM included his pre-retirement performances, include VK's as well, it's only fair

- Peter, (no2 HW, WBC champ) off 4 years, VK picked up where he left off delivering the most memorable comeback performance of recent times, beating the highest ranked guy not named Klitschko

- JC Gomez, (top5 HW, no1 contender) former no1 CW champion, elite skills but lazy ass training regimen wasting best years, VK beat the crap out of the faded version who still possessed speed, power and a difficult style

- Arreola (unbeaten top5 contender) the highest ranked American HW at the time, huge power, moderate skills, overweight - VK beat the tears out of him

- Johnson (unbeaten top15 contender), Sosnowski (European champion, top15 contender), Briggs (former World HW Champion, over the hill) VK went trough these B-level contenders winning all rounds, barely taking a sweat, not much to count P4P-wise

- Solis (unbeaten top5 HW, no1 contender, 2-time am. World Champion, Olympic Gold Medallist), VK KO'd the Cuban with a temple shot in 1 (Salgado-Linares style), Solis also hurt knees, counted out

- Adamek (borderline P4P-er, f. LHW, World CW Champion, unbeaten both at 200 & 200+), Vitali beat the crap out of him

Vitali beat 7 fighters with an unbeaten record or 1 loss, 5 reigning or former world champions, and lost all but maybe 3 rounds lout of 100. These are the guys the division(s) had to offer, he obviously never faced his brother, but faced the rest who were willing.



So with VK's wins broken down, who are the names and their performances you'd rank ahead of VK in a P4P list?
