    Boxed Ears,

Clearly you have not been watching Wlad of recent years. He will not lose to a lesser talent anymore because he is a far better fighter presently than he was pre 2006...FAR better. All those men he lost too, the current version of Wlad would destroy. Arreola? He lost to averamek, Arreola wouldn't touch Wlad, and wlad would end up knocking him out cold with his power. The biggest threat to Wlad is haye, and he already beat him. After that, It is probably Pulev, or an emerging superheavyweight like price.

From what I've seen, Wach is strong but slow. Stamina and durability are question marks, but he looks like a hard worker and those Poles are tough as nails. The first two rounds will be interesting: Wlad usually takes his time to gauge his opponent. Once he lands that first right hand, we'll have to see how Wach reacts. When Haye got clocked early, he went to the backfoot for the remainder of the fight. Chagaev got knocked down in the 2nd.

Wach's only chance is to use his size, pressure Wlad and perhaps even go for broke, Peter-style. He's never going to win this fight by boxing and staying on the outside.

Wach's KO over McBride (who is a journeyman at best now) was pretty nice though, see 2:35:

What is a 'Wach'? Some kind of vacuum cleaner? In which case 'Wach' should win, as 'Wlad' clearly lives in a vacuum, void of any personality or identity with the sport.

The sport 'jumped the shark' when the premier Heavyweight changes his name from the brilliant, marketable gimmick of Vlad to 'Wlad'.

What is the boxing world coming too?

A loss to Wach would eliminate any talk of Wlad being a top 15 heavyweight, possibly even top 20. Wach is a very average fighter and hasn't earned the title shot at all. He has no business being in this kind of fight.

A fight where Wlad shows some heart and takes a few shots coukd boost his legacy though. The last time Wlad fought a guy who was visibly up for it and showed the type of determination and desire you expect a challenger to show was in 2005. That's a remarkable statistic to think about. If Wlad comes through another Peter I type fight, he will likely earn some respect and it'll do his resume good. Beating up guys who look like they're happy with the payday and not getting hurt, does nothing for Wlad.

Wlad is almost 37. As his age advances, the risk of a loss against mediocre opposition also increases. He won't have his 2006-2010 shape for the rest of his careers.

Of course I want him to win, though.

Doesn't it all depend on how Wach does in his career?

If he beat Wlad than he'd beat everyone that is up and coming for at least the next 5 years.

I hurts him pretty bad in my opinion. I currently have him at 16, I'd have to go over my list and see who below him did what and when, but I'd imagine he'd fall to at least 20. Wach can't outbid him so it would have to be by ko. The fact that he's been stopped by a journeyman and two middle of the road fighter already wouldn't bode well for him. That said I think he stops Wach in 9.

    Boxed Ears,

Arreola got destroyed in one sided fashion by a 38 year old Vitali Klitscko who is a lesser fighter than the current prime wladimir klitschko. Based on that fight, and his embarrasing loss to averagemek(who lost to a one handed eddie chambers)..what makes you possibly think Arreola could make a fight out of it with Wlad?

Styles? Ok let's play styles....Arreola is easy to hit, has been hurt badly before, lacks finese, is not a great finisher, lacks top end handspeed and explosive two fisted power to get to wlad...How is he going to get past Wlads jab? How is he got to take Wlads right hand? How will he handle being in the latter rounds when his face is a mess from being punished all night from longe range by the bigger, stronger, far more skilled wladimir?

Wach= the hardest punching, most iron chinned 55% KO ratio fighter ever

This guy is out right terrible. His punch is eh. His speed is nonexistent. His chin is completely untested at any level above the journeymen level. Skills he doesn't have. This guy has done nothing but take 3 rounds longer then a shot Michael Grant to stop Tye Fields(Grant blasted Fields out with one punch).

This myth of his power comes from scoring as brutal KO of a more then shot McBride who was a chinny lump to begin with. Besides that his other two best wins are Gavern and Fields. Tye Fields, Jason Gavern and Kevin McBride and all were well past their primes agruably shot all of them.

So a man whos resume is 3 deep with shaky chin, punchless journey men yet Wach has a chin and power? No he doesn't he has size and size only and if Wlad loses it will be yet another embarrassing loss vs a journeymen level fighter. Sorry but a lose esp a KO lose to Wach pretty much undo's all of Wlad's good work he's done since the Brewster loss. Sorry it's just the facts.

    :patsch

If Wach does manage to beat Wlad I doubt he could beat anyone in the top 10 that can take a decent punch.

He's tricky because he can throw the right straight or hook it? Wow you never see that.:patsch

And we seen evidence of his power against all the great fighters he's fought...... No that's not it...... Against all the durable iron chinned fighters he's stopped..... No he didn't do that either..... hmmmmm.:patsch:roll::lol::rofl

If Wlad is so great then he shouldn't have a problem with Wach. Having a Peterish type fight with him hurts his legacy considering that neither guy should have given him problems.

Can't be much worse than losing to bums like Ross Purrity, Corrie Sanders, or Lamon Brewster

I agree Chris, its a long shot for Wach to win but this match has generated some interest for me. Wach is Big, Tall, can bang with the right hand but he is fighting the best experienced and talented fighter out there in Vlad but I also want to see how Vlad deals with the height, weight and reach advantage of Wach....I think the jab is the key and Vlad has the best but Vlad has to be careful for Wach's long right hand...makes for some excitement
