If Ward actually fought Kessler in Europe...

And Ward will not be allowed to bring his own referee Jack Reiss with him.

 

Kessler has a damn fine hook. It landed regularly on Froch and sent Allan Green to la-la land.

 

It did not land with regularity on Froch, his right hand to the body was his key punch against Froch.

Allan Green has no defense.


We all saw how well Kessler hooked against a moving target in Ward, it wasn't pretty. I love Mikkel but lets be honest, he was punching holes in the air all night against Ward, and don't tell me it was all down to him being cut.

 

I would love to have Ward come to Denmark and honor Kessler, I really would.

I would be there live watching the fight, for sure. I think Kessler would lose quite decisively, but then again, thats only my opinion.

Ward is the best boxer in the division bar none, but like you said, he should pick up his passport and go try his luck somewhere else.

Personally i see kessler making a better fight of it in europe with a referee who is strong enough to keep the fight clean. Ward is so good it wouldn't surprise me if he did win easily either. I just wouldn't mind seeing how ward would react to not having the home referee and not be allowed to do some of the ugly things he gets away with.

 

i cant see ward getting beat by kessler in europe or in the states but it does pose the usual question but in reverse everytime there is a good champion in europe who has put on some impressive displays or racked up a few tittle defences quite a lot of americans mention the word hometown fighter and suggest that the fighter needs to fight in america to prove himself .Well surely its about time ward fights abroad in europe against a few of the top fighters rather than insisting on fighting at home personally i dont think he gets beat away from home either but it would show he is prepared to travel and does not need the comfort blanket of being at home

 

Ward committed the most fouls I have seen in a match without having a point deducted.

It was disgraceful, the repeated intentional butting directly influenced the outcome of the fight which should've been ruled a DQ.

A fight in Europe without Ward's cousin as ref is necessary.

 

Yes the hook landed regularly. Yes the right hand to the body was the moneypunch.

Against Ward he was strictly going for the KO in the last couple of rounds hence the wildness. No shame on missing a lot against Ward. Ward is a dman good and quick fighter.
