To me the way you win has nothing to do with ranking wins unless it's a robbery. My mentality is you do whatever you have to do to get the W. Ward UDing Kovalev in a borefest 8-4 type decision is still better than Pac knocking out Barrera. Just because you knock a guy out doesnt mean the win is better. Ward doesnt have the kind of power, especially at 175.

What does that matter? You said Froch, Kessler, Kovalev are as high as it gets. That's literally saying that a win against those is as good as a win against Mayweather.

    i hear yeah :good

still i am just saying that even in a 8-4 type of decision it can be closer or not, if Ward wins a clear 8-4 borefest BUT shows great speed and skills that greatly trouble Kov then that will be more impressive than lets say Ward simply doing JUST enough to win a 8-4 decision borefest or not,,,,

Why don't you look deep down within yourself and ask yourself if you truly believe what you're saying. Adding Kov to his scalp helps Ward out tremendously, but look who Pac has fought. If you're talking about a career, it' not even close. Yet

    Prime Barrera> Prime Kovalev
Pac also has a much deeper body of work than Ward though. Better to judge resumes at similar parts of a fighters career.

Froch and Kessler are borderline brawlers, heavy handed sluggers, they do not hold a candle to Pacmans opponents.

Pepole who thinks Ward should jump the same amount of weight class to be equal to pac doesnt understand how human body works when you are young , also the fact Pac came as a skeleton when he was young helped the "jumping weight class" , Ward gets tons of credit for the Kovalev fight , no CW that pac used alot and no going up to fight the 3rd best fighter in the weight class and take a title , he went for the boss , a truly primed champion gotta give him his due! if he takes Kovalev 0 it will skyrocket him to another league there is no denying , still not better then Pac , but getting there FAST.

This. Ward has a while to go to match PAC's Resume. If Ward were to beat Kovalev and Stevenson and stay undefeated for a couple years fighting top competition than maybe. But, beating Kovalev alone only makes Ward Relevant again.

Barrera wasn't prime as he had close to 65 fights, had turned pro at 15 and had been in some real ring wars. His body was tired when Pac got him the first time. But I agree Barrera is a better win than Kovalev right now.

These are the kind of threads that make people hate Ward.
