I don't think these tactics would be effective against GGG. GGG is a shorter fighter who likes to drop down even more to sit on his punches. Can't really see how Ward could hurt him coming in with his head. I think GGG would rough him up on the inside, he has all the attributes to be a great inside fighter just didn't have the chance to show his skills there yet. He also has insane physical strength for his size and generates powerful punches with little torque. There's a good video of GGG showing Barrera how to fight on the inside. I'm pretty sure GGG would know what to do against an opponent like that. Ward either outjabs him at range and runs away or gets roughed up. I think GGG would be a game opponent to fight a dirty fight on the inside. He's probably a dirty fighter himself as well if he needs to be, remember that punch after the end of the round against Lemieux.
