If Ward gets credit for the Dawson win, then certainly...

We should stop hearing the discredit of Pacquiao's win over Cotto.

If we will apply the same scenario, it's like Pacquiao calling out Cotto at 140 then beating him up.

Nope, they asked Cotto to come in at 145, 2 lbs below the division's limit.

Would've such a big win had it been at 175 for Dawson's baubles but no.

    Just my two cents.

Anyone discrediting Pacquiao's win over Cotto is just a bitter hater.

    That is all.

Both deserve credit. The signed the deal, and though the weight may have affected them, their problems against their opponents were more technical than they were physical.

I didn't think Ward's win last night was that special. It was clear that Dawson was drained. People are getting a little too gassed. If he does that to Chad at 175, then I will be impressed. I still believe that Chad has some fight left in him.

This is getting annoying. You Pac fans are comparing apples to oranges. DLH wasn't anywhere near being the top of his division. Let's see how Pac performs when he reaches 35 yrs of age or older and goes down in weight to fight someone like Broner at 135 (assuming he's still there in a yr or two). Are you Pac fans going to give him much of a chance to win? Of course you wouldn't. He'd be old and drained.

I do think Ward wouldn't have gotten the KO if the fight was at 175. But it was still a good (but not great) win for Ward. Pac has several good wins. His victory over Oscar is not one of them. However from a business standpoint it was a success.

  9. Pacquiao's win over Cotto is 100% legit and has nothing to do with Ward vs. Dawson. Dawson was drained as all **** and Cotto wasn't.

They didn't asked Cotto to come in at 145, Cotto himself offered to come in at 145. After PAC whooped Hatton, there were talk of PAC maybe taking on others in the welter. Cotto said that if PAC wanted some they could get it on at 145 and no less.

It was a good win but remember Dawson asked for it to be at 168, Cotto was forced into it, Wbo even threaten to strip him. Anyway regardless Pacquiao win over Cotto was still good.

Dawson said 168 or CW...and Ward insisted on 168..He should have walked away and made an easy defense and waited on the Pascal/Cloud winner. The Ward fight was going to have to happen. Ward is coming to 175 sooner or later. Just a dumb move by Chad and his team.
