If Ward goes 5-0 and dominates the tournament can he lure Calzaghe out of retirement?

No. Calzaghe pins a lot on the "0." He is not going to risk those brittle hands against an emerging star.

Calzaghe wouldn't have taken the fight when he was active in his prime. He sure as **** won't take it now.

No, because that will mean he is the best, which means Calzaghe must duck him..

Even if the Queens Jewels are on the line

well let's not get over our heads, the super six winner will be a big name, but not the greatest of all time and Calzaghe would probably be 39 when the fight can happen, so I it's not gonna happen, Calzaghe knows better.

In all seriousness, I agree with this entirely.

If Ward can go 5-0 in the tournament, he will be so much better by that point that Calzaghe might not have a real chance in the fight. Think about the experience Ward will get fighting that level of fighter. Who is he fighting next? Direll?

Ward is slated to fight Jermain Taylor next, but something tells me it will be Allan Green.

Yeah I agree. He's not:-( gonna risk his legacy against a legitimate threat like ward.

I think Jermain is gonna fight on , especially with the chance (a very slim one) to win a world title.

I predict another beat down though.

I doubt it, by the time the tournament is done and a fight could be signed calzaghe will have been inactive for 3 years, much to long to come back and take on someone like ward. It would have been a very difficult fight for prime calzaghe never mind by that point
