If Ward or Dirrell do drop out of super six what will your view of them be?

Froch get's tentative too. Don't get it twisted. In the dirrell fight he was scared to swing unless he knew dirrell was in full defense mode. He was very tentative and boarderline scared when they stood at distance from eachother.

I used to think that abraham was more dangerous but I see that he isn't used to speed either. I'm not sure if he is used to SMW power either. Even when he was pressing dirrell he was scared of being countered. He was throwing arm punches during his comeback charge. Look at the last 3 rounds closely. Even the knockdown that wasn't called was an arm punch. Nothing on it. His shoulders were cringed up everytime he threw something. The only punch he put anything on was the last one. AA doesn't have the ability to be offensive and defensive at the same time. He is either or. Ward has good speed and punch out put that will keep AA in the shell and when he comes out of the shell, he is getting hit.

I don't know if I would fancy AA against Kessler and I have him losing against froch.

I have AA loosing to Froch on points and I have Kessler taking AA on points as well. Needles to say I have Ward handing Kessler another loss and Dirrell would probably have a good chance against Kessler as well if he ups his workrate a little. I do not think that Ward will have it as easy against Abraham or Froch as you think. I think that Abraham is much more comfortable with Wards style than you think and that Froch will bring it to anyone unless they take him out of there. Kessler is not a light hitter and even though Kessler backed Froch up it didn't stop him from throwing punches. I don't think that Ward will either.

Thanks for the discussion though. It is nice to have a civilized conversation with someone on ESB who doesn't agree with you :good

Shows how silly you are again Robert because as SMW champ who was Calzaghe meant to travel for? You cant answer. But when challenging Hopkins as LHW champ, Calzaghe travelled and won, something Dirrell failed to do :D.

    Now think Robert think

Dont waste your time Cobbler. Robert is too stupid to listen and dosent know what hes writing about. I always find it amusing how he keeps getting it wrong, yet comes back and does it time and time again

The difference in the fight with kessler and a potential fight with ward is that froch will be missing alot more while prolly getting hit alot more. That's what makes people reluctant.

No prob, I always like a discussions with genuine oppinions regardless if they seem very different stylisticly. We never know how a match will play out when it comes down to it so nothing is set in stone. As our great philosopher chris berman would say "THAT'S WHY THEY PLAY THE GAME". We can try our hardest to predict how people will move with eachother during a fight but sometimes we just get it wrong and others times there are 3 or 4 different fights in one.

Calzaghe actaully did fight a very large percentage of his fight in Cardiff close to half his fights. while Ward has fought only 3 of 22 in his hometown. Thing is its really an overhyped point. If your fighting sh*tty fighters does it really matter where you fight them???

Since I have consistently been one of the few out spoken critics of the Super Six, I'd probably have a great deal of fun if one or both dropped out rather than face each other.

Never the less, I hope it doesn't happen.

Yep, true enough. As I have quoted before, Glen Johnson has fought a higher percentage of his career fights in his home state of Florida than Calzaghe has in his home country of Wales. That should illustrate that this is not something that should be taken as an indicator of anything.
