If Ward took a couple more tune-ups would you give him a pass?

I don't think Ward is ready to step into the ring with the Krusher next.

If Ward took a couple more tune-ups to add to his previous 3, would y'all give him a pass?

5 tune ups thats like 21/2 years since these guys only fight twice a year at most.

wish they had to work for a living like ray robinson. hell he fought once a week.

Fuggin' fight is signed & sealed... STFU about it now. Nobody is afraid of those HBO creations.

Probably no. The best thing he could do if he´s not going to face Kovalev, is to be open about it and admit he doesn´t want to face him and go other direction. Don´t waste other people's time and money.

    Only 2 tuneups he's had

And this was signed and agreed by everyone at the beginning of his hbo deal.

If he had them in the next 30 to 60 days and still fought Kovalev as planned, then yes.

Lol, what was Will Smith for then? Andre 'Triple Tune-Up' Ward.

    You ready to get schooled?

June 20th, 2015: Ward vs Smith
October 19th, 2015: Ward signs 3-fight HBO deal with Kovalev being the 3rd fight, on PPV.

The Smith fight occurred BEFORE the 3-fight deal with HBO and was just a stay-busy match. Not a tuneup for Kovalev. It's UNDER CONTRACT that Ward will have TWO tuneups and will have to face Kovalev. Anything else is a breach of contract.

He definitely needs more tune-ups. There's some garbage men around the corner from me that need a payday. I will give them a call.

:D Perfect, as long as they're willing to fight in Oakland. They would end his tune-up tour pretty well after fighting Will Smith and Russell Brand.

I would rather not have to wait longer for the fight but yes I would give him a pass.

I don't have a problem with boxers, even really good ones, having 5, 6, 7 fights in a weight division before fighting the best in that division.

As long as it happens before either one of them becomes a shot fighter is the most important thing. This year or next year would be best. Any later than that and they're starting to get a bit old in boxing terms.

Was his comeback ultimately to fight Smith?? Then it's a tuneup. Who gives a **** about whatever deal he struck, it's a tuneup. Period. Now move on after apologizing to the forum.
