If Ward wants to get anymore big fights he needs to take a page out of Sergio's book

Unlike Ward, Martinez knows he's not a big draw and has to agree to terms that doesn't suit him to get bigger fights such as taking a much lower split and coming to his opponents back yard.

What he actually needs to do is to take a page out of Cotto's book!! A page or two.... Even so, he'll get there eventually,,...the talent he's got won't be contain that long..

Bottom line is Ward should be pursuing fighters. He has this unfortunate superiority complex ever since he discovered that he's better than everyone. Thinks he's the man and everyone will be lining up to fight him in his hometown for 1/20th of the purse jut because he's the best.

What he fails to understand is that this works for other fighters because they bring in the money. He wants everyone else to bring the money and take it all himself. Can't do both, so he definitely needs to make concessions until he is able to draw.

poor Andre, he's deluded if he thinks he's the A-side at SMW/LHW just because most place him #2 in the mythical P4P ranking, meanwhile Froch just made $13 million fighting a domestic fight, since Cobra has the belts and the bargaining power, Andre should be challenging him for them, yes, he did beat him, back in 2011, but this is 2014, 3 years later, and it's Cobra who's been fighting more often and getting the bigger fights, while Andre can keep battling his promoter if he thinks Cobra will come to Oakland begging him for a rematch on his knees

Same could probably be said for many fighters.

I felt the same about GGG for a while, although Geale and Soliman are both willing to fight him now so he is better of staying at 160 lbs for a while.

Martinez realised he wasn't getting the big fights at 154 lbs so made the jump to 160 lbs and became the legitimate champ of the division.

Obviously we would all want the best fighting the best but in today's game it isn't uncommon for the champ or number 1 contender being avoided because of how dangerous they are.

I mean Rigondeaux is the Ring champ of 122 lbs but Frampton, Cruz, Quigg , and Martinez know they make more money fighting each over and they face less risk of losing.

Who would bring him more money than $2M that he made against Rodriguez?

Kovalev makes $150K/fight and Golovkin & Froch doesn't want to fight him at all.

Froch is completely scared of Ward..... every time someone asks him something about Ward, he comes up with some stupid promoter/popularity excuse.... Ward beat him 12-0...... Froch didn't win a round....

That's what I like about this place. You're always guaranteed a laugh. Although, I should feel guilty about laughing at fools. It's like picking on special needs kids.

Brittards just can't accept that their best fighter was canned 12-0 by Ward..... it's almost an obsession that they have..... they need to ridicule Ward for every little thing because Froch won't do it himself..... Froch is scared to even speak of Ward every time they ask him.....

"So Carl, who do you have in mind for your next opponent"

Carl: "That's a very great question, I want to fight in Vegas... maybe Chavez or Martinez in Vegas.....

How about Ward? He beat you last time, don't you want redemption?

Carl: "Shhh, we don't speak of that name"

Other fighters like Floyd and Pac...they can call shots like that because they are PPV stars AND top dogs. Ward is just top dog. Froch and Groves proved that Ward isn't needed by anyone. Guys can make more money fighting each other.

Ward needs to scale down a bit because good as he is he doesn't have star power so he can't go dictating everything.
