If Warrington was to meet Frampton this year and beat him would he be UK no2 p4p

Interesting view about FW cashing out Carl.....id say he knows Josh could lose at any time....hence the urgency....

Whats all this about Carl being dropped 'numerous times' anyway???? Hardly true or accurate is it???? He's hardly chinny now is he?
Remember Josh just about squeaked past a faded shadow of Kiko Martinez....Carl twice beat prime Kiko...once by ko...come on now, be reasonable...

Ok..a numerous times may be a tad unfair as this could be interpreted as more than 2, twice, to be more specific. He did get dropped by Gonzales twice.
It's not fair to Martinez to say he was a faded shadow by the time he met Josh. Maybe it wasn't the same Martinez of a couple yrs earlier but he was hardly a faded shadow.
Martinez came with a full camp behind him, on full notice and saw it as an opportunity to get bk in the mix. He was only 29/30 yrs old. He gave it his best but Josh did enough to beat him, just like Carl after been dropped by Gonzales, just did enough to beat him.
Frank knows Carl's on his way out and hey I'm been honest here, I will always sing Carl's praises he's been a fantastic fighter. One of the best these shores has produced over this century.
His best days are behind him now tho Len.

I thought Warrington just lost to Martinez, many other people did too.

And Warrington being no2 p4p in UK would make UK boxing seem weak as... Even though he had a good win against Selby I still can't get my head around to really rate the guy that much, happy for him to prove me wrong again though! Maybe my mind is still stuck with the Martinez fight were he looked sloppy and got a bit of a gift.

We won't know how to rate JWs win over lee selby properly until we see them both fight a few more times each. Is selby washed up? Can he come back to achieve more at a higher weight? How badly weight drained was he vs Josh??? Etc etc

I thought he did beat Kiko fair and square...albeit narrowly....but it wasn't the fresh Kiko that Carl beat twice.

The Jackal is a great fighter, but I think Warrington has the bit in his teeth and confidence now since beating Selby to make that a very hard fight for Carl. Warrington is better than I thought, I thought Selby would UD him but he dug in and wanted it more

Peak Jackal beats Warrington with some to spare even though smaller

Carl at his peak was a top top fighter, second only to Rico at the time and should he of taken the Rigo fight, in his best form, Carl would of maybe beat him. He was a better fighter at snow imo
I think Carl is past his peak now.

Selby is an excellent win for Warrington, however I can't put Josh above world class guys like Kell Brook or George Groves...he just doesn't have the ability or pedigree that they do.

Can he beat Frampton? I honestly don't know. Before the Selby fight I would have said no, now it's definitely possible.

But you dint know that for sure cos there is a strong possibility that the Selby that Josh beat was only a pale shadow of his best due to being terribly weight drained. We need to see mo e if Josh beating strong opposition before I'm convinced about him, sorry. The selby win was excellent but there are too many question against Lee selby that night for me to be totally convinced about Josh based on that one (admittedly quality) win.

Frampton has a much deeper resume at top level.
