He couldn't meet Brook at 154 with only 2 months notice.

You better listen to ellerbe and learn. Because he's saying nothing but the truth.

To keep his HBO date, he'd have had less than a week to tie up a fight at MW only, which would also have had to have bettered his deal with Eddie.

    Where has Pascal come from?

I'm not happy about GG-Brook, but again, you have to note the huge difference in circumstances between Canelo-Khan.

Again, from what I've heard in the last 2-3 days, I don't think anyone could have compromised with Eubank Snr.

The last I heard was that Jacobs was in line to fight Mora within the next few months.

That's an 8 week training camp. I am sure he could lose six pounds. Brook wouldn't have objected I'm sure.

To be fair, BJS, Canelo and Jacobs aren't interested, and the Eubank fight fell through.

Sure, the Brook fight is poor. But he's a last minute replacement after he couldn't get FOUR other MW's in the ring.

GG wouldn't suddenly move up to 168 or down to 154 at short notice, with an 8 week camp.

There's not many guys on this thread who are being realistic.

When GG signed to fight Brook, the HBO date was only 9 weeks away, and there were press conferences etc to organise.

You have to realise that this was a last minute replacement against the clock.
