Apparently, he's owned me several times.

This is a guy who's wondering why GG can't move himself up the WBO's rankings into a mandatory position to fight BJS.

It really is the same circumstances both fighters went after the biggest money fight available to them, one just gets a pass for it.

C'mon mate, you know I'm not a GGG 'hater' and I am seriously ****ed off that this fight has been made.

Golovkin has rushed for the pound notes ahead of his legacy. I never thought he should have accepted 'step aside' money and I think this is a big mistake.

It's not a good fight, make no mistake. However, Golovkin has Old Man Time sitting on his back and it was either this or nothing. Eh, I'll take what I can get. Brook seems about the same size as GGG btw. I have no idea how he gets to 147

Hey man, I'm dissapointed too, but he doesn't deserve the criticism he's received.

    Put yourself in his shoes.

HBO were happy, he was offered the same money and the chance to showcase his skills in front of the British fans in a huge PPV.

It would have been nonsensical to walk away.

Again, let's say he'd have walked. Then what?

    Who would he have fought?

A mandatory for less money? He'd have gotten trashed for that.

    A JMW for less money?

Another keep busy MW for less money?

    What?

Why lose the HBO date when he wants to fight another twice before the end of the year.

Anyone who's pi$$ed at this should turn their anger towards Oscar, Jacobs and Eubank Snr.

GG has made the best of a bad situation.

I'm sick of these clowns sat behind their keyboards. (I'm not referring to yourself)

I guarantee you that if we were in GG's shoes at 34, we'd all have made the exact same decision.

This fight is only happening due to circumstances.

And Kell Brook has never fought professionally at 160. The added weight is likely to slow him down and he will probably have less effective power.

That's why it's called COMPROMISE. It's a better fight if they meet in the middle. And GGG said be would fight anyone from 154-168. Time to put his money where his mouth is.

He CAN make the weight. He is a small MW...as some would say, whenever the discussion is about him moving up.

Brook has already signed the contract. So, there's no point in really complaining. But, for argument's sake, I disagree with you. While it's a smart business move, it's not a respectable decision in terms of making a credible fight. But, what else is new. The backlash is completely understandable and deserved. I hope BROOK makes it a competitive fight at least. But, I am sure lil g fan boys don't want that.

Why no one? He fought Wade and whatnot, why not another low level middleweight?

A CW would have been better.

The point is, it was a last minute fight that was rushed through before he started his 8 week camp.

Nobody could expect GG to fight below 158 with only 8 weeks notice.

How do you know he can comfortably make weight within that timeframe?

Yes, he said he could make 154. But not at the last minute with no notice.

I agree that it's not a credible fight and he deserves no respect if he wins. But again, what were his other options?

What would have been the point in turning down the fight?

The backlash is warranted, but not when it's being compared to Canelo-Khan etc.

At the end of the day, he accepted Brook after he couldn't negotiate with FOUR other MW's.

    Those are the facts.

    Wade was a mandatory.

What would have been the point in turning down Brook to fight a low level MW?
