GGG could have fought Brook at 154-156. He was not stuck in a circumstance that forced him to bring up a WW 2 weight classes to put in a fking circus act. Golovkin is such a pathetic coward. The fact that there are trolls defending this fight is just plain sad. I criticized Floyd for fighting Berto, yet that fight was 1000000x less of a disgrace than this.

Floyd chose to fight Berto. He could've fought anyone. Golovkin obviously cannot. If you're not interested in facts, nobody can help you, you're a lost cause.

There's a long history of welters fighting middles. Many are even called great wins. Nobody is claiming this would be a great win. This is the definition of a stay busy fight when priorities have fallen through.

Yeah he chose to fight Berto after fighting another A level opponent in Pacquiao. Floyd has fought countless talent above B level, Golovkin has never done that once, yet I criticized Floyd still. If Floyd brought up an opponent 2 weihgt classes with no catchweight I'd crucify him, especially if he had never fought above C level. There's a difference between being a fan, and a nuthugging troll. I doubt we can find one post from you criticizing GGG.

You say no MW's will fight him. What are you basing this off? Jacobs and Saunders ducking him? Who are all these other MW's ducking him? Wade had no problem getting in the ring with him, why not try and force yourself into the WBO mando position. This is the definition of a circus act and a joke of a fight. It's also extremely hypocritical of little g and his fangirls to criticize Canelo/Khan at 155, but act like this is any different at the full 160. It's even worse.

Marquez you absolute mong. Made at a catchweight. Ignored it. Much, much worse. And Marquez was barely even a natural lightweight, unlike Kell at welter.

If you don't know Golovkin's been avoided for years, you're not worth talking to, no matter how funny it might be.

Floyd's still waiting for his handjob :hi:

No fight at all is a better outcome than a mismatch this bad. I know I'm in the minority here, since I never bought Mayweather pay per views or Canelo vs Khan. That just made 11 million dollars; so I guess other people eat this **** up.

How about no fight at all. Or at least meet Brook at 154 (right in the middle). That would make this farce a bit more legitimate. Better yet, move up to 168. I'm sure those guys would love a crack at Lil g.

you really think he learned subtraction? that is pretty advanced mathematics. we're probably lucky he is busy spewing racial hate on here, instead of shooting cops.

I'll take GGG v Brook over no fight.

Hell, Brook may even surprise us and look good for a bit though God knows I doubt it.

Wish they had found another guy though. Even a mediocre 168 might have been better.

This forum , slowly but surely, will become very dangerous place with many obsessive posters. Unfortunately, a lot of interesting topics are spoiled because of stupidity without borders.

Hearns had a date confirmed at the O2 and let's remember it's only 10 weeks away so what is he meant to do ? Just let that date pass ? Boxing needs big nights and this is one of them.

    He could have fought:

    Lara
    Andrande
    Sergio Mora
    Heiland
    Tureano Johnson
    Eleider Alvarez
    Jurgen Brähmer
    Jean Pascal

It took him all of 5mins to agree to a Welter weight.

Imagine if Ward dragged up Liam Smith for a fight:tired

    He'd become a Golovkin:rofl:oops:

I'm sure there would have been better opposition available for the fight, but he obviously wanted the payday.

It isn't exactly unprecedented but it doesn't make it any better.

The only redeeming feature is I like Brook and it's in the UK so ill probably get to watch it live.

This is a rubbish fight whichever way you slice it. I've defended Golovkin a lot on these boards but this is an absolute joke IMO.

It does prove something though. The anti-GGG nut jobs are right about one thing, a lot of his fans are hypocrites who'll support his decision no matter what it is.

Totally, this announcement has exposed a lot of hypocritical posters.

Guys who slated Canelo v Khan are now hyping this. And guys who hyped Canelo v Khan are now slating this.
