Nope. There's way more MWs that were better H2H and would have been able to beat GGG.

I don’t actually agree with that but it’s a lot better than believing Golovkin is.

If someone has to immediately take Roy Jones out of contention to make the argument that GGG is the best H2H middleweight ever, it sort of undermines the thread from the start.

I rate GGG pretty highly H2H at middleweight but probably not number 1. Number 1 would probably be Monzon, Jones, or Hopkins tbh.

Surely Canelo is #1 before GGG.

If you have GGG at 1,

Where is Greb, Steele, Hagler and Monzon? what about Ketchel and Lamotta?

What I have heard about Golovkin is that pound-for-pound he doesn't weigh as much as heavier men. I guess you could say the same for Jones. That's not for me to judge.

Well I think it's silly to call Jones or Hopkins MW's in the same sentence as Monzon... one was probably 163lbs in the ring the other two on the other hand...

“Technically” but they wouldn’t be fighting one another in real life.

Jones & Hopkins would duck Monzon.
